A 1.25g sample of dry ice is added to a 765mL flask containing nitrogen gas at a temperature of 25.0°C and a pressure of 725 mmH

g . The dry ice is allowed to sublime (convert from solid to gas) and the mixture is allowed to return to 25.0°C. What is the total pressure in the flask?

Answer : The total pressure in the flask is 1.86 atm.

Explanation :

First we have to calculate the pressure of CO_2 gas.

Using ideal gas equation :

PV=nRT\\\\P_{CO_2}=\frac{w}{M}\frac{RT}{V}

where,

P = Pressure of CO_2 gas = ?

V = Volume of CO_2 gas = 765 mL = 0.765 L     (1 L = 1000 mL)

n = number of moles

w = mass of CO_2 gas = 1.25 g

M = molar mass of CO_2 gas = 44 g/mol

R = Gas constant = 0.0821L.atm/mol.K

T = Temperature of CO_2 gas = 25.0^oC=273+25.0=298K

Putting values in above equation, we get:

P_{CO_2}=\frac{w}{M}\frac{RT}{V}

P_{CO_2}=\frac{1.25g}{44g/mol}\frac{(0.0821L.atm/mol.K)\times 298K}{0.765L}=0.909atm

Now we have to calculate the total pressure in the flask.

P_T=P_{N_2}+P_{CO_2}

Given :

P_{CO_2}=0.909atm

P_{N_2}=725mmHg=\frac{725}{760}=0.954atm

conversion used : (1 atm = 760 mmHg)

Now put all the given values in the above expression, we get:

P_T=0.954atm+0.909atm=1.86atm

Therefore, the total pressure in the flask is 1.86 atm.

Answer:

Missing component

Cl₂

H₂O

Explanation:

Reaction given:

? + 2NaBr → 2NaCl+Br

Mg+? → MgO+H2

missing component = ?

Solution:

Reaction 1

             ? + 2NaBr -----→ 2NaCl + Br

if we look at the reactants and products there is one element is in product side but not shown in the reactant side.

In products there are following atoms

Na (Sodium)

Cl (Chlorine)

Br (Bromine)

In Reactant there are following atoms

Na (Sodium)

Br (Bromine)

So only Chlorine is missing in the reactant side.

if we put chlorine in the reactant then this reaction will be complete

        Cl + 2 NaBr -----→ 2NaCl + Br

So chlorine react with water and give sodium chloride and bromine molecule, this is a single displacement reaction and chlorine replace bromine in the above reaction

Now balance the equation

          Cl₂ + 2 NaBr -----→ 2NaCl + Br₂

So, the missing component is

  • Cl₂

____________

Reaction 2

                Mg + ? ---------→ MgO + H₂

if we look at the reactants and products there are two element in product side but not shown in the reactant side.

In products there are following atoms

Mg (Magnesium)

O (Oxygen)

H (Hydrogen)

In Reactant there is only one following atom

Mg (Magnesium)

So Oxygen and Hydrogen is missing in the reactant side.

if we put water molecule (H₂O) in the reactant then this reaction will be complete

          Mg + H₂O ---------→ MgO + H₂

in this reaction magnesium (Mg) react with water (H₂O) and give magnesium oxide and hydrogen gas.

So, the missing component is

  • H₂O

Answer: Thin pancakes with milk are the English version of traditional fluffy Russian pancakes baked with yeast. In Europe, pancakes look like thin, almost transparent napkins. In France they are called "crepes" and are served with hundreds of different fillings. There are no special tricks in cooking: the thinner the dough, the thinner the pancakes are. An openwork version, in a hole, will work if part of the milk from the recipe is added to the dough a little hot. Before pouring the first pancake, you should heat the pan well. The pancake is ready when it begins to brown until crispy.

Explanation:

That's what the other person said it's in russian and its a recipe.
