PbO2

You have to take the mass of lead in the problem, and divide by the molar mass.
When you do the same with oxygen, you get a number about twice as large as when you divide the mass of lead by the molar mass of lead. This means that the simplest formula  would be PbO2

In which example is a physical property being describe?
earnstyle [38]
Are there choices? Because if there are that would help A LOT, but if there are no choices I can give some examples of physical properties, though there are MILLIONS, here are a few :) .

Physical property examples are: color, smell, freezing point, boiling point, melting point, attraction or repulsion to magnets and viscosity and density. If these are not options, please let me know :)

Have a great day, let me know if I can help with anything else, have a great day, and, if you have time, mark brainiest, I would really appreciate it, thanks! :D

If the CaCO3 weighed 983 g and the CaO weighed 551 g, how many grams of CO2 were formed in the reaction?
stira [4]

Answer:

The answer to your question is 432 g of CO₂

Explanation:

Data

CaCO₃  = 983 g

CaO = 551 g

CO₂ = ?

Balanced reaction

                               CaCO₃ (s)   ⇒   CaO (s)   +  CO₂ (g)

This reaction is balanced, to solve this problem just remember the Lavoisier Law of conservation of mass that states that the mass of the reactants is equal to the mass of the products.

                    Mass of reactants = Mass of products

                    Mass of CaCO₃   = Mass of CaO + Mass of CO₂

Solve for CO₂

                    Mass of CO₂  = Mass of CaCO₃ - Mass of CaO

                     Mass of CO₂ = 983 g - 551 g

Simplification

                     Mass of CO₂ = 432 g
