During the krebs cycle, a six-carbon molecule is oxidized to become first a five-carbon molecule, and then a four-carbon molecul
Amiraneli [1.4K]

The lost carbons are released as CO2.

Krebs Cycle- The Krebs cycle, sometimes called the TCA cycle or the citric acid cycle, is a series of chemical processes that take place in the mitochondria and are essential for the aerobic respiration that provides energy to nearly all living things. It consumes oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water as waste. ATP is created here from ADP.

Mitochondria- The majority of the chemical energy required to drive a cell's metabolic operations is produced by mitochondria, which are membrane-bound cell organelles (mitochondrion, singular). Adenosine triphosphate, a tiny molecule, serves as a storage container for the chemical energy generated by the mitochondria (ATP).

A dark thin protein that serves as the anchoring point of actin filaments at either end of the sarcomere.
valina [46]

The ends of the actin filaments are anchored to the Z-line or disk.

The sarcomere is the primary functional unit of muscle fiber. It is flanked by a Z-band on each end with adjoining I-bands. The Z-band or disk is a dense fibrous structure composed of actin, α-actinin as well as other proteins.

Thin filaments or actin filaments are anchored at one end at the Z-band. Titin is connected to both the Z-band and the M-line. Thick filaments are attached in the middle of the sarcomere at the M-line.

An intermediary filament protein forms a meshwork from one Z-disk to the next across the myofibril. These networks are joined by actin through the protein dystrophin to the sarcolemma.

The baby will start to hear certain sounds, like the mother's heartbeat. The baby's hearing will continue to improve. The baby will have fingerprints and footprints by the end of the second trimester, Fine hair, and a white waxy substance cover and protect the baby's skin. The skin is thin, loose, and wrinkled. By the third trimester fat will start to fill in under the skin. The baby's digestive system will start to function, the baby will also begin to produce and release urine, which becomes amniotic fluid.
