Temperature inversion, a reversal of the normal behavior of temperature in the troposphere (the region of the atmosphere nearest the Earth's surface), in which a layer of cool air at the surface is overlain by a layer of warmer air. (Under normal conditions air temperature usually decreases with height.)

What is an alkali metal with fewer than 10 protons in its nucleus?
Trava [24]

Answer:

            Lithium

Explanation:

                  Alkali metals are group of metals which are present in first group of periodic table. As we know atomic number is equal to number of protons contained by a particular element. Therefore, the alkali metals along with there number of protons are listed below;

Alkali Metal                                         Number of Protons

Lithium                                                               3

Sodium                                                             11

Potassium                                                         19

Rubidium                                                         37

Cesium                                                             55

Francium                                                          87

Hence, it is cleared from above table that Lithium is having fewer protons than 10.

11) What is the volume of 4.92 grams of hydrogen gas at STP? (Show the work using dimensional analysis)
lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

The volume of 4.92 grams of hydrogen gas at STP is 9.105 litter.

Explanation:

We know that, the molecular weight of hydrogen gas (H_{2} ) = 1\times 2 = 2.

Moles of hydrogen gas = \frac{weight}{molecular weight} = \frac{4.92}{2} = 2.46 moles.

At STP, 1 mole of hydrogen gas = occupies 22.4 litter

    So, 2.46 mole of hydrogen gas = occupies \frac{22.4}{2.46} = 9.105 litter.

Hence, the volume of 2.46 grams of hydrogen gas at STP is 9.105 litter.
