Answer with explanation:

Join AC and FG.Draw BN ⊥ AC.

AC=9 units, BN=3 units, CG=3 units, GF=6 units, FE=4 units,GD=3 Units

Area (ΔABC)

              =\frac{1}{2} \times {\text{Base}} \times \text{Height}\\\\=\frac{1}{2} \times {BN} \times {AC}\\\\=\frac{1}{2} \times 9 \times 3\\\\=\frac{27}{2}\text{Square units}

Area of Trpzoid

            =\frac{1}{2} \times [\text{Sum of Parallel sides}] \times [\text{Perpendicular Distance between them}]

Area of Trpzoid ACGF

         =\frac{1}{2} \times [AC+GF]\times CG\\\\=\frac{1}{2} \times [9+6]\times 3\\\\=\frac{45}{2}\text{Square units}

Area of Trpzoid FGDE

        =\frac{1}{2} \times [FE+GD]\times FG\\\\=\frac{1}{2} \times [3+4]\times 6\\\\=21\text{Square units}

Area of given shape

               =\frac{27}{2}+\frac{45}{2}+21\\\\=36+21\\\\=57 \text{Square units}

scoundrel [369]

Answer:

a)H_0 :\mu = 4\\ H_1 : \mu \neq 4 , n = 15 , X=3.4 , S=1.5 , α = .05

Formula : t = \frac{x-\mu}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}}

t = \frac{3.4-4}{\frac{1.5}{\sqrt{15}}}

t =-1.549

p- value = 0.607(using calculator)

α = .05

p- value > α

So, we failed to reject null hypothesis

b)H_0 :\mu = 21\\ H_1 : \mu < 21 , n =75 , X=20.12 , S=2.1 , α = .10

Formula : t = \frac{x-\mu}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}}

t = \frac{20.12-21}{\frac{2.1}{\sqrt{75}}}

t =-3.6290

p- value = 0.000412(using calculator)

α = .1

p- value< α

So, we reject null hypothesis

(c) H_0 :\mu = 10\\ H_1 : \mu \neq 10, n = 36, p-value = 0.061.

Assume α = .05

p-value = 0.061.

p- value > α

So, we failed to reject null hypothesis

Andrews [41]
Hey there,
$75 is above $50
Final Bill = $75 - (20% x $75)
              = $75 - $15
              = $ 60

Hope this helps :))
