1. The coordinates of the vertices of parallelogram RMBS are R(–4, 5), M(1, 4), B(2, –1), and S(–3, 0). Using the diagonals, pro

First, plot the points. Point R would be somewhere in the second Quadrant, point M would be in the first quadrant 1, point B would be in the fourth quadrant, and point S would be on the negative y-axis. A property of rhombi is that their diagonals are perpendicular. One would need to calculate the slopes of the diagonals and determine whether or not they are perpendicular. Lines are perpendicular if and only if their slopes are opposite reciprocals. Example: 2 and -0.5
Formulas needed:
Slope formula:
\frac{ y_{2}- y_{1}  }{ x_{2} - x_{1} }

The figure would look kinda like this:
      R
                  M

          S
                       B
 Diagonals are segment RB and segment SM
So, your slope equations would look like this:
 \frac{-1-5}{2-(-4)}
and
\frac{4-(-3)}{1-0}
Slope of RB= -1
Slope of SM=7
Not a rhombus, slopes aren't perpendicular. But this figure may very well be a parallelogram

Construct a linear equation for the table. What is the slope of the line
Klio2033 [76]

We have points (-3, 4), (-1, 2), (4, -3) and (6,-5)

Let's verify it's a line by calculating the slopes between successive points.

Slope is change in y over change in x.

(2 - 4)/(-1 - -3) = -2/2 = -1

(-3 - 2)/(4 - -1) = -5/5 = -1

(-5 - -3)/(6 - 4) = -2/2 =-1

Yup.  We have a line of slope -1 through point (-1, 2)

y - 2 = -1(x - -1)

y  = -x - 1 + 2

y = -x + 1

That's the linear equation for the table.

Answer:  Linear equation: y = -x + 1          slope = -1

= -6<br> -2x + y<br> -x+3y<br> = -6
alexgriva [62]

Answer: x = 2.4 or 12/5, y = -1.2

Step-by-step explanation:

-2x + y = -6

=> y = 2x - 6

-x + 3y = -6

=> -x + 3(2x - 6)  = -6

=> -x + 6x - 18 = -6

=> 5x = 12

=> x = 12/5 or 2.4

-x + 3y = -6

=> - (2.4) + 3y = -6

=> 3y = -6 + 2.4

=> 3y = -3.6

=> y = - 1.2

I just need help with this problem and more!! 3. What is the perimeter of the figure shown below, which is not drawn to the scal
yarga [219]

Answer:

8x+12

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the Perimeter, we need to add all 4 sides together. In this case, we would do:

x+4+x+4+3x+2+3x+2

Now, we have to combine like terms.

x+x+3x+3x=8x.

4+4+2+2=12

The final answer would be 8x+12 or 12 +8x.

You can put whichever answer you want because it doesn't matter.

Hope this helps!
