For the moon to be visible during the day, it must be up in the sky at the same time as the sun, but not so close to the sun in the sky that you can't see it. The full moon rises at sunset, is up all night, and sets at sunrise, so you can't see a full moon in the daytime.

What is the net torque on the square plate, with sides 0.2 m, from each of the three forces? F1=18 N, F2=26 N, and F3=14 N. Use
marshall27 [118]

Answer:

The net torque on the square plate is 2.72 N-m.

Explanation:

Given that,

Side = 0.2 m

Force F_{1}=18\ N

Force F_{2}=26\ N

Force F_{3}=14\ N

We need to calculate the torque due to force F₁

Using formula of torque

\tau_{1}=-F_{1}d_{1}

\tau_{1}=-F_{1}\times\dfrac{a}{2}

Put the value into the formula

\tau_{1}=-18\times\dfrac{0.2}{2}

\tau_{1}=-1.8\ N-m

We need to calculate the torque due to force F₂

Using formula of torque

\tau_{2}=F_{2}d_{2}

\tau_{2}=F_{2}\times\dfrac{a}{2}

Put the value into the formula

\tau_{2}=26\times\dfrac{0.2}{2}

\tau_{2}=2.6\ N-m

We need to calculate the torque due to force F₃

Using formula of torque

\tau_{3}=F_{3}d_{3}

\tau_{3}=(F_{3}\sin45+F_{3}\cos45)\times\dfrac{a}{2}

Put the value into the formula

\tau_{3}=0.1(14\sin45+14\cos45)

\tau_{3}=1.92\ N-m

We need to calculate the net torque on the square plate

\tau=\tau_{1}+\tau_{2}+\tau_{3}

\tau=-1.8+2.6+1.92

\tau=2.72\ N-m

Hence, The net torque on the square plate is 2.72 N-m.

Answer:

1. Collision- the sudden, forceful coming together in direct contact of two bodies

2. Newton's third law of motion is<em> naturally applied to collisions between two objects</em>. In a collision between two objects, both objects experience forces that are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction.

3. Momentum is the product of a moving object's mass and velocity. When two objects collide the total momentum before the collision is equal to the total momentum after the collision

Mean arterial pressure is ________ (indirectly/directly) proportional to ________ and ________ (indirectly/directly) proportiona
g100num [7]

Answer: Mean Arterial Pressure is directly proportional to Cardiac Output and Systemic Vascular Resistance and also directly proportional to Central Venous Pressure.

Explanation: Based on the relationship of flow, pressure and resistance, the mean arterial pressure is determined by the cardiac output (CO), systemic vascular resistance (SVR), and central venous pressure (CVP). This relationship is given by:

MAP = (CO x SVR) + CVP

Which is alternatively expressed as:

MAP = CO x SVR (this is because at any point in time in blood circulation, the central venous pressure is always near to zero mmHg.

Due to this direct relationship, any factor affecting the cardiac output and the Systemic Vascular Resistance would cause a corresponding change in the Mean Arterial Pressure.

It is also worthy to note that If Cardiac Output and Systemic Vascular Resistance change reciprocally (inversely) and proportionately, then Mean Arterial Pressure will not change. The plotted graph is one of positive slope.

The whole relationship occurs when blood is pumped out of the left ventricle into the aorta and distributing arteries, creating pressure.

You have learned of two fundamental units that are not vector quantities. Which are they?
Mila [183]

Answer:

Mass and time are not vector quantities .

Explanation:

All the physical quantities can be classified into two major categories that is :

  • Scalar
  • Vector

Scalar quantities

  • They are those that describes only  the magnitude and they are regarded as incomplete quantities as they don't provide complete information.

               For example :  Speed ,Mass, Time etc

Vector quantities

  • They are complete quantities that can be described in magnitude as well as direction .

         For example : Velocity ,gravity ,Acceleration etc
