The organism Euprymna scolopes is also known as the Hawaiian Bobtail Squid. This organism belongs to the family of Bobtail Squids having the scientific name: Sepiolidae. 
The Sepiolidae family belongs to a class of Cephalopods which also includes under its umbrella, squids, cuttlefish, and octopuses. 

Therefore Euprymna scolopes closest relationship is among the bobtail squids or its more famous family member, the squid.
