Answer:

An operon consists of a group of genes which are controlled by a single promoter.

The lac operon present in the E.coli comprises of genes for making proteins which  breakdown lactose into glucose.

Normally, the lac operon will be turned of by a repressor when there is not enough lactose present.

When lactose is present in the cell, the operon is activated when lacl forms a bond with the promoter region due to its changes in the structure. This causes the process of transcription to occur.

What would happen to the Earth and the moon if gravity did not exist.
Crazy boy [7]

Answer:

If the Earth suddenly had no gravity, the Earth’s atmosphere would float into space. Everything not attached to the Earth would fly off into space. Things like trees and most buildings would remain because they are rooted. Since the Earth, itself, is held together by gravity, it would most probably break apart into chunks and float off.

I WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST
Len [333]

Answer:

A ligament is a fibrous connective tissue which attaches bone to bone, and usually serves to hold structures together and keep them stable.

You have ligaments around your knees, ankles, elbows, shoulders, and all of your other joints.

Ligaments are bands of tough elastic tissue around your joints. They connect bone to bone, give your joints support, and limit their movement. Ligaments are made out of connective tissue that has a lot of strong collagen fibers in it. They are found in different shapes and sizes in the body. Some look like pieces of string, others look like narrow or wide bands. There are arch-shaped ligaments, too.

What is the process of photosynthesis
never [62]
This is the process of making glucose in plants. Photosynthesis goes through two individual stages:
Stage 1: Light dependent reaction (depends on the presence of light; it can’t happen in the dark)
Stage 2: Light independent (dark reaction) (works in the absence of light, but calling it a dark reaction might be misleading; It can just as well happen in the presence of light).
