The 7 types of electromagnetic radiation, from largest to smallest are:

Radio waves

Microwaves

Infrared waves

Visible light (ROY G BIV, red being longest and violet being shortest)

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation

X-rays

Gamma rays

The longer the wavelength, the smaller the frequency, and vice versa.

Name two elements that you would expect to have properties very much like those of calcium
neonofarm [45]
Atoms in the same group (column) of the periodic table have similar properties. This is because all elements in the same group have the same amount of valence (outer) electrons.

So, any element directly above or below Calcium on the periodic table would have similar properties.

These would be Magnesium, Barium, Strontium, Radium, and Beryllium.

Which best describes Earth's magnetic field lines?
STatiana [176]

Answer:

The field lines go out of Earth near Antarctica, enter Earth in northern Canada, and are not aligned with the geographic poles.

Explanation:

The two poles North pole and South pole of the earth are distinct from the magnetic north pole and south pole of the earth. The magnetic north pole is the point from where the magnetic field of the Earth points downwards in the vertical direction. There is a gradual change in the magnetic poles with the passing of the time. The magnetic fields have an extension from the interior of the Earth to the outer space.

When a molecule of NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) gains a hydrogen atom (not a proton), the molecule becomes _____. Wh
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

Reduced

Explanation:

NAD⁺ is an intermediate electron acceptor, acting as an oxidant (together with FAD⁺) that participates in cellular respiration as a fundamental reagent, gaining a hydrogen atom (H) in this process, becoming NADH which will later be oxidized.

This process of converting NAD⁺ to NADH (and FAD⁺ converted to FADH₂) by gaining a hydrogen atom is called reduction.
