mass of iron block given as

m_1 = 1.90 kg

density of iron block is

\rho = 7860 kg/m^3

now the volume of the iron piece is given as

V = \frac{m}{\rho}

V = \frac{1.90}{7860} = 2.42* 10^{-4} m^3

Now when this iron block is complete submerged in oil inside the beaker the buoyancy force on the iron block will be given as

F_b = \rho_L V g

here we know that

\rho_L = density of liquid = 916 kg/m^3

F_b = 916* 2.42 * 10^{-4} * 9.8

F_b = 2.17 N

Now for the reading of spring balance we can say the spring force and buoyancy force on the block will counter balance the weight of the block at equilibrium

F_s + F_b = mg

F_s + 2.17 = 1.90* 9.8

F_s = 16.45 N

So reading of spring balance will be 16.45 N

Now for other scale which will read the normal force of the surface we can write that normal force on the container will balance weight of liquid + container and buoyancy force on block

F_n = F_g + F_b

F_n = (1 + 2.50)*9.8 + 2.17

F_n = 34.3 + 2.17 = 36.47 N

So the other scale will read 36.47 N

A 15x10^-6c charge is placed at the origin and a 9x10^-6C charge is placed on the x-axis at x=1.00m. where, on the x-axis is the
Harlamova29_29 [7]

The Electric field is zero at a distance 2.492 cm from the origin.

Let A be point where the charge 15\times10^-6 C is placed which is the origin.

Let B be the point where the charge 9\times 10^-6 C is placed. Given that B is at a distance 1 cm from the origin.

Both the charges are positive. But charge at origin is greater than that of B. So we can conclude that the point on the x-axis where the electric field = 0 is after B on x - axis.

i.e., at distance 'x' from B.

Using Coulomb's law, \frac{kQ_A^2}{d_A^2} = \frac{kQ_B^2}{d_B^2},

Q_A = 15\times 10^-6 C

Q_B=9\times10^-6C

d_A = 1+x cm

d_B=x cm

k is the Coulomb's law constant.

On substituting the values into the above equation, we get,

\frac{(15\times10^-6)^2}{(1+x)^2} =\frac{(9\times10^-6)^2}{x^2}

Taking square roots on both sides and simplifying and solving for x, we get,

1.67x = 1+x

Therefore, x = 1.492 cm

Hence the electric field is zero at a distance 1+1.492 = 2.492 cm from the origin.

What is the formula for instant velocity when I have time and distance?
Tomtit [17]

Answer:

v(t)= (d/dt)x(t)

Explanation:

The instantaneous velocity of an object is the limit of the average velocity as the elapsed time approaches zero, or the derivative of x with respect to t. Like average velocity, instantaneous velocity is a vector with dimension of length per time. The instantaneous velocity at a specific time point  t 0  is the rate of change of the position function, which is the slope of the position function

x ( t ) at  t 0 .

Which telescopes must be placed in orbit around earth in order to observe short-wavelength radiation?.
son4ous [18]

Space telescopes must be placed in orbit around earth in order to observe short-wavelength radiation.

<h3>What is telescope?</h3>

A telescope is an optical instrument that uses lenses, curved mirrors, or a combination of both to watch distant objects.

When atoms in a gas reach this temperature, they travel so quickly that when they collide, they release X-ray photons with wavelengths smaller than 10 nanometers.

Because the Earth's atmosphere prevents all X-rays from space, these wavelengths must be seen using space telescopes.

To study short-wavelength radiation, space telescopes must be put in orbit around the Earth.

Hence, space telescope is the correct answer.
