With x^2 the x-intercept is (0,0) because it meets at the origin. there are two x intercepts for g(x)=x^2-7 but only one x-int for f(x)=x^2. g(x) SHIFTED DOWN by 7 since the y-int is -7

What we have here is called INTERSECTING CHORDS IN A CIRCLE.

The equation is:

10 times x = 7 times 7

10x = 49

x = 49/10

x = 4.9

A ping pong ball is released from a height of 60 centimeters (cm) and bounces to a height that is 3/4 the previous height. What
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

H = 60(3/4)^x

Step-by-step explanation:

After each bounce, the height it reach is 3/4 the previous one.

Let the height of nth bounce be denoted as h_n and the first bounce is h_1.

We are given that h_1 = 60 cm. Following the rule in the problem, we get:

h_2 = (3/4)h_1 = (3/4)60

h_3 = (3/4)h_2 = (3/4)*(3/4)60 = 60(3/4)^2

h_4 = (3/4)h_3 = (3/4)*60(3/4)^2= 60(3/4)^3

We see that h_n = 60(3/4)^n is the formula for the height for the nth bounce. Therefore, H = 60(3/4)^x is the answer.

I hope this helps! :)

The owner of a catering company wants to select a random sample of clients to find out about their food preferences. Select Yes
kolezko [41]

Answer:

1. Yes

2. No

3. Yes

4. No

Step-by-step explanation:

When you say a random sample, this means that every member of the population will have a chance to be part of the sample. If you consider the scenarios, only the 1st and 3rd option will come up with a random sample because the respondents of the sample is not predetermined. If you take the other options into consideration, you can see that not everyone would have had a chance to be part of the sample.
