Two particles A and B are initially at distance d apart. They start moving simultaneously at velocity v and u such that A always

move towards B and B moves along fixed straight line which is perpendicular to initial direction of motion of A. Then particles will meet after time
A. (vd)/(v^2-u^2)
B. (ud)/(u^2-v^2)
C. d/(v^2+u^2)^1/2

Let after time "t" the Position of A and B are in such a way that A is heading to B and its velocity makes some angle with x axis

So the relative speed of A with respect to B in horizontal direction is given as

\frac{dx}{dt} = u - vcos\theta

relative motion in y direction is given as

\frac{dy}{dt} = 0 - vsin\theta

from first equation we can say

\int dx = \int u dt - \int vcos\theta dt

0 = uT - v\int cos\theta dt

\int cos\theta dt = \frac{uT}{v}

now in the direction of approach of each other

\frac{dr}{dt} = ucos\theta - v

\int dr = \int ucos\theta dt - \int vdt

0 - d = u\int cos\theta dt - vT

- d = u(\frac{uT}{v}) - vT

T = \frac{vd}{v^2 - u^2}

Un móvil con velocidad inicial de 19,8km/h adquiere una aceleración constante de 2,4m/s^2. Determine la velocidad y el espacio r
nata0808 [166]

Responder:

Velocidad = 41.5m / s

Espacio recorrida = 352.5 metros

Explicación:

Dado lo siguiente:

Velocidad inicial (u) = 19.8 km / h

Aceleración (a) = 2.4m / s ^ 2

Tiempo de viaje (t) = 15 s

A.) velocidad después de 15 s

Velocidad inicial = (19.8 × 1000) m / 3600s Velocidad inicial = 19800m / 3600 = 5.5m / s

Usando la ecuación: v = u + at, donde v es la velocidad

v = 5.5 + 2.4 (15)

v = 5.5 + 36

v = 41.5m / s

Espacio recorrida:

v ^ 2 = u ^ 2 + 2aS; donde S es la distancia recorrida

41.5 ^ 2 = 5.5 ^ 2 + 2 × (2.4) × S

1722.25 = 30.25 + 4.8S

1722.25 - 30.25 = 4.8S

1692 = 4.8S S = 1692 / 4.8 S = 352.5m

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction” is a definition of _________
sveticcg [70]

Answer:

These two forces are called action and reaction forces and are the subject of Newton's third law of motion. Formally stated, Newton's third law is: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects.

which observation about the Mid-Atlantic Ridge region provides the best evidence of the seafloor has been spreading over for mil
Kitty [74]

Magnetic stripes on the sea floor

Explanation:

The observation of magnetic stripes patterns at the region of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge galvanized the evidence that sea floor spreading has been on for several millions of years.

  • Geomagnetic field of the earth is similar to that of bar magnet having the north and south pole.
  • It originates from the movement of iron-nickel within the outer core.
  • This geomagnetic field causes the magnetization of magnetic minerals in rock.
  • When freshly formed magma is brought to the surface at the mid oceanic ridge area, the prevailing magnetic field causes the magnetic minerals in the magma to cool in such a way that they align their domains to that of the field.
  • The magnetic field of the earth can reverse and take different geometry. Sometimes, its intensity is very strong and at other times it is weak.
  • The magnetic minerals in melts bear these records.
  • As new materials are brought up, they get magnetized.
