The division of a bacterial cell into two daughter cells (called binary fission) is accomplished by a protein called FtsZ. FtsZ

is very similar to the tubulin subunits that form microtubules in eukaryotes. After the replicated bacterial chromosomes have moved to opposite ends of the cell, a ring of FtsZ proteins forms inside the plasma membrane in the region where the cell will divide. As the FtsZ ring constricts, the plasma membrane and bacterial cell wall fold in and eventually separate into two cells. Division of a bacterial cell into two daughter cells. A chromosome, located mid-cell, replicates. Then two chromosomes pull apart, and a ring of FtsZ protein forms mid-cell. The ring contracts, the membrane and cell wall invaginate. Division is completed after the cells separate. Plant and animal cells also require cytoskeletal proteins for cytokinesis, although the roles these proteins play differ among bacteria, plants, and animals.

The question is incomplete and the complete question is:

For each space in the table, drags the appropriate label to indicate if the statement is true or false for each group of organisms

1. Cells divide by constriction of a ring of protein

2. The presence of a cell wall prevents the cell from diving by constriction

3. Tubulin or tubulin-molecules function in binary fission(in bacteria) or cytokinesis(in animals and plants)

Answer:

1. Bacteria: true , Animals: true and Plants: false

2 bacteria: false , Animals: false and Plants: true

3. Bacteria: true , Animals: false and Plants: true

Explanation:

Option-1

Bacteria: true as the protein FtsZ is involved in the binary fission and the formation of constriction.

Animals: true as the microtubule ring is formed

Plants: false as no constriction of the ring is formed instead of a cell divides by plate formation

Option-2

Bacteria: false as the ring is formed and no cell wall is involved

Animals: false as there is no cell wall in the animals

Plants: true as the cell wall divides by plate formation

Option-3

Bacteria: true as FtsZ is involved in the ring formation which is tubulin like structure

Animals: false as the actin and myosin are involved in a ring formation

Plants: true as tubulin are involved

WILL MARK BRAINLIEST. Can someone help me wit des three questions?
VARVARA [1.3K]

Answer:

1. every organism on the food chain will be affected. the ones below it will have a higher population, and the ones above it will have a lower population.

2. biodiversity is the idea, that all life is different, and environments thrive with it.

3. biodiversity is important in an ecosystem because if you take out biodiversity, you essentially take out all the animals in the given ecosystem.

Explanation:

1. when you remove lets say a spider from a food chain, the bugs that it would've eaten will start growing in population from not being eaten by the spiders. the birds that wouldve eaten the spiders, will decrease from the lack of that food source.

2. is self explanatory

3. if you only had one type of bird in one ecosystem, and that was the only animal in that ecosystem, the birds would all die, because they wouldn't have anything to eat, and nothing would eat it, so they might resort to cannibalism, or, as earlier stated, they would die off, from lack of food. the ecosystem would not be sustainable.

Which best describes the effect of J. J. Thomson’s discovery?
zzz [600]

Answer:

The correct answer will be option A-the accepted model of the atom was changed.

Explanation:

J.J Thomson discovered the electrons by cathode ray tube experiment in 1897 and realized that the accepted model of atom as proposed by the Dalton has problems as he stated that "atom is indivisible".

The discovery of sub-atomic particles-electrons in his experiments showed that the atom can be divided into sub-atomic particles and he proposed the pudding model of the atom which changed the accepted model of atom at that time.

Thus, option A-the accepted model of the atom was changed is the correct answer.
