This is an isotope of silicon since it has 14 protons.  for an element, you can have different numbers of neutrons, however, if you change the number of protons the identity of the element changes.

for example, carbon 14 and carbon 12 both have 6 protons.  The only thing that changed was the number of neutrons which went from 6 to 8.

Rank the following in terms of decreasing miscibility in C₈H₁₈ (octane), a major component of gasoline:
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer:

In order of decreasing miscibility

C₉H₂₀ (nonane)→C₂H₅F (fluoroethane)→C₂H₅Cl (chloroethane)→H₂O (water)

Explanation:

The solubility of a solid is a measure of its ability to dissolve in a liquid while for liquids,  the miscibility is a measure of thhe liquid to mix with anoyjer liquid resulting in a soltion which can hold any amount of either liquids. Immiscible liquids are those that are not soluble or have very limited solibility with each other.

C₉H₂₀ (nonane)→C₂H₅F (fluoroethane)→C₂H₅Cl (chloroethane)→H₂O (water)

In the order of decreasing miscibility as like dissolve like, ability to dissociate and polar and organic characteristics are considered

Es un cambio natural o provocado, donde se produce energía para agua y dióxido de carbono: a)Precipitación. b)Fermentación c) Ef
Andre45 [30]

Answer:

d) Combustión.

Explanation:

¡Hola!

¡Saludos!

if you are told to get 100 mL of stock solution to use to prepare smaller size sample for an experiment, which piece of glasswar
fgiga [73]

Answer:

A beaker

Step-by-step explanation:

Specifically, I would use a 250 mL graduated beaker.

A beaker is appropriate to measure 100 mL of stock solution, because it's easy to pour into itscwide mouth from a large stock bottle.

You don't need precisely 100 mL solution.

If the beaker is graduated, you can easily measure 100 mL of the stock solution.

Even if it isn't graduated, 100 mL is just under half the volume of the beaker, and that should be good enough for your purposes (you will be using more precise measuring tools during the experiment).
