Answer

Find out the What is the total weight of the items already packed .

To prove

As given

The luggage allowance on the flight is 20 kg per person.

The list of the weights of some items already packed in one of the suitcases.

Toothbrush - 95 g\ ,Toiletries - 1.4 kg\ ,Shoes = 3\frac{1}{8}\ ,Beach towel - 0.6 kg

Clothes - 8580 g

As\ 1g=\frac{1}{1000}\ kg

Now convert 95 g

95g=\frac{95}{1000}\ kg

             = 0.095 kg

Thus Toothbrush weight  = 0.095 kg

Now convert 8580 g

8580g=\frac{8580}{1000}\ kg

             = 8.58 kg

Thus clothes weight  = 8.58 kg

Now

Shoes\ weight = 3 \frac{1}{8}\ kg

Shoes\ weight=\frac{25}{8}\ kg

Shoes weight = 3.125 kg (approx)

Thus

Total weight of the items = Toothbrush weight + clothes weight + Toiletries weight + Beach towel weight + Shoes weight

                                         =  0.095 kg + 8.58 kg +  1.4 kg + 0.6 kg + 3.125kg

                                         = 13.8 kg

Therefore  the total weight of the items already packed is 13.8 kg .

Need help fast don't understand both A and B show work please
Shkiper50 [21]
Problem A
Usually the number of bits in a byte is 8 or 16 or 32 and recently 64. You don't have to write a formula to restrict it to this number of bits. You are not asked to do so. The general formula is 2^n - 1 for the problem of Millie and her golden keys. Somehow the system can be made to choose the right number of bits. Apple IIe s for example, used 8 bits and there was a location that told the processor that fact.

2^n - 1 <<<<< Answer

Problem B
In this case n = 4
2^n - 1 = 2^4 - 1 = 16 - 1 = 15

Millie can collect 15 keys <<<<<< Answer

Linear equation topic. (Lisa is 5 years younger than his elder brother,Daniel.The product of their ages is 2/3 of their grandmot
alisha [4.7K]
Let Daniel's age be 'x' years , hence, Lisa's age is (x - 5) years. Let Grandma's age be 'y' = 54 years.
Hence,
x(x - 5) = 2/3 × y
x² - 5x = 2 × 54 years / 3
x² - 5x = 36 years
x² - 5x - 36 = 0
∆ = (-5)² - 4(1)(-36) = 25 + 144 = 169
√∆ = √169 = 13
x\:  =  \:  \frac{ - b \:   \frac{ + }{ }   \:  \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  \:  -  \: 4ac} }{2a}
x1 = (5+13)/2, x2 = (5-13)/2
x1 = 9, x2 = -4
Since, age can't be negative,
Daniel's age = x = 9 years.
