Answer:

The total volume of the space inside the steps is 2880 cubic inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A theater wants to build movable steps that they can use to go on and off the stage. They want the steps to have enough space inside so they can also be used to store props 16 in, 8 in, 6 in, 20 in, 12 in.

To find : How much space is inside the steps?

Solution :

According to question,

The image form of store props is a prism split into two rectangular prism.

Refer the attached figure below.

The bottom portion of the steps having dimension 16\times 20\times 6

The volume of the bottom portion is

V=l\times b\times h

V=16\times 20\times 6

V=1920 in^3

The top part have a width of 8 inches as entire width of bottom is 16 inches.

Length is 20 inches.

height of the steps is 6 inches as total height is 12 inches.

The volume of the top part is

V=l\times b\times h

V=20\times 8\times 6

V=960 in^3

So, the total volume of the space inside the steps is

1920+960 = 2880 cubic inches.

Therefore, The total volume of the space inside the steps is 2880 cubic inches.

Convert the following Logarithmic Equation into a Exponential Equation.<br><br> log_3(-2x+1)=-2y+6
lozanna [386]

Answer:

3^(-2y + 6) = (-2x+1)

Step-by-step explanation:

We have;

log_3_(-2x+1) = -2y + 6

What this means in exponential form is that;

3^(-2y + 6) = (-2x+1)

Write an equation of the line passing through the points (3,8) and (-2,-22)
uranmaximum [27]

Answer:

y=6x+8 or y=6x-22

Step-by-step explanation:

use the equation y=mx+b

m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

to find the slope use the equation m = y2-y1 over x2-x1

-22 - 8 / -2 - 3 = -30 / -5 = 6

6 is your slope and for the y-intercept you can choose whichever y-intercept to put into the equation.

Which of the following point-slope form equations could be produced with the points (-1, 4) and (2, -3)?
Nikolay [14]

Answer:

Option B, y + 3 = -7/3(x - 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Point slope form:  (y - y1) = m(x - x1)</u>

<u />

<u>Step 1:  Find the slope</u>

m = \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}

m = \frac{-3 - 4}{2 - (-1)}

m = \frac{-7}{2 + 1}

m = \frac{-7}{3}

<u>Step 2:  Plug into the point slope form</u>

(y - 4) = -7/3(x - (-1))

(y - 4) = -7/3(x + 1)

OR

(y - (-3)) = -7/3(x - 2)

y + 3 = -7/3(x - 2)

Answer:  Option B, y + 3 = -7/3(x - 2)
