Scientists often want to know if the genetically transformed organism can pass its new traits on to its offspring and future gen

Answer:

Quickly

Explanation:

The more quickly that a new generation of organisms develops and reproduces the faster that you will be able to observe whether the new traits have been passed on to the new generation or not, and so on if you want to see this effect over several generations. For example, if you have genetically modified corn, you just have to wait one year to see if next year's generation of corn will have the modified trait or not. Conversely, if you geneticall modify an apple, you have to wait several years until the new generation of apples mature and are able to flower and produce the next generation of apple embryos.

Rapid water movement between the extracellular fluid and the intracellular fluid is termed?
MatroZZZ [7]

Rapid water movement between the extracellular fluid and the intracellular fluid is termed as Fluid Shift

How does the fluid shift works and affect the body?

When bodily fluids transfer across the fluid compartments, fluid shifts happen. Hydrostatic pressure gradients and osmotic pressure gradients work together physiologically to cause this. Water will passively travel from one area to the next through a semipermeable barrier until the hydrostatic and osmotic pressure gradients are equal. Fluid changes can result from a variety of medical problems. Critical organs like the brain, heart, and kidneys are put at risk when fluid shifts out of the blood vessels (the intravascular compartment), the cells (the intracellular compartment), the interstitial space, the cells (the intracellular compartment), the intracellular space, the cells (the intracellular compartment), and the brain cells (the intracellular compartment). When fluid shifts into the brain cells, it can cause a stroke.

life cycles of sexually producing organisms involve the alternation of haploid and diploid stages true/false
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

The life cycles of sexually producing organisms generally involve alternation between the haploid and diploid generations.

Sexual reproduction involves the fusion of gametes - fertilization. The gametes are haploid (n) and are usually formed by the reductional division (meiosis) of diploid (2n) sex cells.

Haploid gametes represent the haploid stage of the life cycles of sexually reproducing organisms. During fertilization, the male and female gametes fuse together to form a diploid zygote. The zygote then continues to divide equationally (mitosis) and differentiates to give rise to a baby and eventually to either male or female adult organism.

What would happen if there were no abiotic factors in an ecosystem?
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

Plants would be unable to grow and produce oxygen for the animals.

Explanation:

Sunlight, which supports plants, is considered an abiotic factor. If there were no sunlight, plants wouldn't be able to grow, which means no oxygen for many living things found in that specific ecosystem. In other words, that ecosystem would become uninhabitable.

The map shows the distribution of wild boars in the United States. Wild boars are an invasive species to the United States. A ma
GaryK [48]

Answer:

Wild boars have successfully established in areas with warm climates.

Explanation:

As you can see in the description of the map shown in the question above, wild boar, although an invasive species in the USA, settled more easily in Texas, California and Florida, and along the southern notes, which are regions that usually have a climate hot most of the year. This means that wild boars have greater affinities with warm climate regions within the country.

An invasive species is one that is taken to a region where it does not occur naturally. These species can become real pests if the invaded environment does not have natural predators that limit their multiplication.
