Cyclosporine lowers your body's immune system.The immune system can also "reject" a transplanted organ such as a liver or kidney because the immune system treats the new organ as an invader.Cyclosporine is used to prevent organ rejection after a kidney, heart, or liver transplant.

In this case after a renal transplant, cyclosporine is given which is causing *Hypertension*. Hypertension usually mild to moderate, occurs in approximately 50% of patients following renal transplantation. In 10% of cases it may cause flushing, arrhythmia, purpura, abnormal heart sounds, cardiac failure, peripheral ischemia and less frequently hypertension with fluid retention and convulsions.
