The statement about fossil fuels is false is <u>C. They are dependent on location</u>, and the rest are relatively true

Further explanation

fossil fuels or mineral fuels are natural resources that contain hydrocarbons such as coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Fossil fuels are formed because of the natural process of decay from organisms that died hundreds of millions of years ago. Dinosaurs, trees, and almost all living things that died were deposited on the ground and now have become petroleum, natural gas, or coal. Natural gas has the form of gas, liquid petroleum, and solid coal. due to differences in the pressure and heat, they receive in the bowels of the earth over millions of years ago. Fossil fuels are a type of non-renewable natural resources. Because this fossil fuel is formed from the process of sedimentation and decomposition of living things and takes millions of years. That is why, the utilization of this fuel must be done wisely and responsibly, besides that the sources of fossil fuels that are available are faster used up compared to the formation of new ones.

There are 3 types of fossil fuels and all three have different shapes, which are

  • Natural gas has the form of gas.

natural gas is a fossil fuel in the form of gas. Natural gas is a mixture of hydrocarbons that has large expandability, high compressive strength, low specific gravity and naturally exists in the form of gas. Natural gas is collected underground with a variety of compositions contained in the oil content (associated gas).

  • Coal has a solid form.

Coal is a sedimentary rock that can burn. Formed from organic sediment and through the process of a forge. The main elements of coal are carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Coal is used as a raw material for making cement, steel, aluminum, and also as an energy source for power plants in several countries. In addition, there are many more benefits from coal. However, the wrong process in processing coal can have a negative impact on the environment. That is why many countries provide rules regarding the use of this coal.

  • Petroleum has a liquid form

Petroleum is the most widely used resource, both personally and industrially. Petroleum, which is still in raw condition, will go through several stages of processing until finally it becomes a finished product and is ready for use. Some processed petroleum products that are often used in daily life are gasoline, kerosene, and so on.

A car travels a distance of 100 km. For the first 30 minutes it is driven at a constant speed of 80 km/hr. The motor begins to v
gregori [183]

Explanation:

First, we need to determine the distance traveled by the car in the first 30 minutes, d_{\frac{1}{2}}.

Notice that the unit measurement for speed, in this case, is km/hr. Thus, a unit conversion of from minutes into hours is required before proceeding with the calculation, as shown below

                                          d_{\frac{1}{2}\text{h}} \ = \ \text{speed} \ \times \ \text{time taken} \\ \\ \\ d_{\frac{1}{2}\text{h}} \ = \ 80 \ \text{km h}^{-1} \ \times \ \left(\displaystyle\frac{30}{60} \ \text{h}\right) \\ \\ \\ d_{\frac{1}{2}\text{h}} \ = \ 80 \ \text{km h}^{-1} \ \times \ 0.5 \ \text{h} \\ \\ \\ d_{\frac{1}{2}\text{h}} \ = \ 40 \ \text{km}

Now, it is known that the car traveled 40 km for the first 30 minutes. Hence, the remaining distance, d_{\text{remain}} , in which the driver reduces the speed to 40km/hr is

                                             d_{\text{remain}} \ = \ 100 \ \text{km} \ - \ 40 \ \text{km} \\ \\ \\ d_{\text{remain}} \ = \ 60 \ \text{km}.

Subsequently, we would also like to know the time taken for the car to reach its destination, denoted by  t_{\text{remian}}.

                                              t_{\text{remain}} \ = \ \displaystyle\frac{\text{distance}}{\text{speed}} \\ \\ \\ t_{\text{remain}} \ = \ \displaystyle\frac{60 \ \text{km}}{40 \ \text{km hr}^{-1}} \\ \\ \\ t_{\text{remain}} \ = \ 1.5 \ \text{hours}.

Finally, with all the required values at hand, the average speed of the car for the entire trip is calculated as the ratio of the change in distance over the change in time.

                                                     \text{speed} \ = \ \displaystyle\frac{\Delta d}{\Delta t} \\ \\ \\ \text{speed} \ = \ \displaystyle\frac{100 \ \text{km}}{(0.5 \ \text{hr} \ + \ 1.5 \ \text{hr})} \\ \\ \\ \text{speed} \ = \ \displaystyle\frac{100 \ \text{km}}{2 \ \text{hr}} \\ \\ \\ \text{speed} \ = \ 50 \ \text{km hr}^{-1}

Therefore, the average speed of the car is 50 km/hr.

A 0.106-A current is charging a capacitor that has square plates 6.00 cm on each side. The plate separation is 4.00 mm. (a) Find
FrozenT [24]

Answer:

The time rate of change of flux is 1.34 \times 10^{10} \frac{V}{s}

Explanation:

Given :

Current I = 0.106 A

Area of plate A = 36 \times 10^{-4} m^{2}

Plate separation d = 4 \times 10^{-3} m

(A)

First find the capacitance of capacitor,

   C = \frac{\epsilon _{o} A }{d}

Where \epsilon _{o} = 8.85 \times 10^{-12}

   C = \frac{8.85 \times 10^{-12 } \times 36 \times 10^{-4}  }{4 \times 10^{-3} }

   C = 7.9 \times 10^{-12} F

But   C = \frac{Q}{V}

Where Q = It

  C = \frac{It}{V}

  V = \frac{It}{C}

Now differentiate above equation wrt. time,

  \frac{dV}{dt} = \frac{I}{C}

       = \frac{0.106}{7.9 \times 10^{-12} }

       = 1.34 \times 10^{10} \frac{V}{s}

Therefore, the time rate of change of flux is 1.34 \times 10^{10} \frac{V}{s}

   work done by the gravity = ?

   work done by the tension = ?

Work done by the gravity = - m g Δh

 Δ h = 2 + 2 = 4 m

Work done by the gravity =- 3 \times 9.8 \times 4

                                           = -117.6 J

work done by gravity is equal to -117.6 J

Work done by tension will be equal to zero.

Zero because tension is always perpendicular to velocity

work done by tension is equal to 0 J
