The ball rises up to 30.625 m high.

What is gravity?

The force that pulls items toward the centre of a planet or other entity is called gravity. All of the planets are kept in orbit around the sun by gravity.

Given parameters:

Horizontal range of the ball; R = 84 m.

Time of flight of the ball: T = 5 s.

Acceleration due to gravity; g = 9.8 m/s².

We have to find, maximum height obtained by the ball; H = ?

In projectile motion, time of flight is; T = 2usinθ/g

Where, u = initial velocity of the ball and θ = angle of projection.

So, 2usinθ/g = 5

⇒ usinθ = 5g/2 = (5×9.8)/2m/s = 24.5 m/s.

Then maximum height obtained by the ball;

H = u²sin²θ/2g

= 24.5²/(2×9.8) = 30.625 m.

Hence, maximum height obtained by the ball is 30.625 m.

You are an astronaut floating alongside your space ship. If you throw a baseball with a speed of 10 m/s, you will move at:
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

There is no friction to stop you from moving BC you are in space, however you have a larger mass than the ball, so it takes more force to get you up to the same speed as the baseball. You will move in the opposite direction of the ball because you exerted force on the ball in one direction and therefore yourself in the opposing direction.

Oil having a density of 930 kg/m^3 floats on
Zolol [24]

Answer:

0.0268 m

Explanation:

Draw a free body diagram of the block. There are three forces: weight force mg pulling down, buoyancy of the oil B₁ pushing up, and buoyancy of the water B₂ pushing up.

Sum of forces in the y direction:

∑F = ma

B₁ + B₂ − mg = 0

ρ₁V₁g + ρ₂V₂g − mg = 0

ρ₁V₁ + ρ₂V₂ = m

ρ₁V₁ + ρ₂V₂ = ρV

ρ₁Ah₁ + ρ₂Ah₂ = ρAh

ρ₁h₁ + ρ₂h₂ = ρh

(930 kg/m³)h₁ + (1000 kg/m³)h₂ = (968 kg/m³) (4.93 cm)

Since the block is fully submerged, h₁ + h₂ = 4.93 cm.

(930 kg/m³) (4.93 cm − h₂) + (1000 kg/m³)h₂ = (968 kg/m³) (4.93 cm)

h₂ = 2.68 cm

h₂ = 0.0268 m

Which one of the following scenarios accurately describes a condition in which resonance can occur? A. A column of air has a hei
ollegr [7]
The correct option is D.
Resonance is a phenomenon in which a vibrating system or an external force induces another system to vibrate at greater amplitude at particular frequencies.
When a tuning fork is struck with another object, the tuning fork will start to vibrate as a result of the force that is exerted by the object used to struck it. This type of vibration, without direct excitation by a man is an example of resonance.
