What is Diabetes?

Diabetes mellitus, also referred to as diabetes, is a collection of metabolic illnesses characterized by persistently elevated blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia). Frequent urination, increased thirst, and increased appetite are common symptoms. Diabetes can lead to a wide range of health issues if neglected. Hyperosmolar hyperglycemia, diabetic ketoacidosis, and even mortality are examples of acute complications. Heart disease, stroke, chronic renal disease, diabetic foot ulcers, eye damage, nerve damage, and cognitive impairment are examples of serious long-term consequences.

Diabetes results from either insufficient insulin in the body by the pancreas or improper insulin utilization by the body's cells.

A hormone called insulin is in charge of facilitating the entry of food-derived glucose into cells for cellular energy utilization.

Is eating too much bread bad for you?
I eat 2 breads each day,should I stop?
lara31 [8.8K]

The highly-processed flour and additives in white, packaged bread can make it unhealthy. Consuming too much white bread can contribute to obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. Buying bread with the word "whole" as the first ingredient still does not guarantee a healthful product.

Which type of burn is BEST described as having blisters, scarring, and more pain? A. first-degree burn B. second-degree burn C.
liubo4ka [24]

I would choose C, because a first degree burn is like you burned yourself on a pan and it kinda hurts, but a second degree burn would have slightly more pain, and a fourth degree burn would probably cause death.

So, I'd choose C if I were you, as it will have scarring, a lot of pain, and if you google pictures ( don't, it's really gross ) there's usually really bad blisters.
