The concentration of dye in Solution A is 26.609 M. You have 13 mL of water at your disposal to make the dilutions. The solution
exis [7]

Answer:

6,613 M

Explanation:

Dilution is the process of reducing the concentration of a solute in solution, mixing initial solution with more solvent.

The concentration of Solution B is:

23,881 M ×  = 9,552 M

Because the initial eight parts are diluted to 12+8 parts.

Thus, concentration of solution C is:

9,552 M ×  = 6,613 M

I hope it helps!

Explain why 1 mole of diethyl ether requires less heat to
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

The quantity of heat required to vapourize 1 mole of a substance depends on the kind of intermolecular forces between the molecules of the substance. Diethyl ether molecules are held together by weak dispersion forces compared to the stronger hydrogen bonding in ethanol. Therefore,  1 mole of diethyl ether requires less heat to  vapourize than is required to vapourize 1 mole of  ethanol.

Intermolecular forces hold the molecules a substance together in a given state of matter. The properties of a substance such as boiling point, melting point etc are dependent on the nature of intermolecular forces holding the molecules of the substance.

Diethyl ether molecules are held together by weak dispersion forces while molecules of ethanol are held together by hydrogen bonds.

Since hydrogen bonds are much stronger than dispersion forces, a greater quantity of heat is required to break the intermolecular hydrogen bonds in ethanol in order to vapourize them than is required to vapourize diethyl ether.

Therefore, owing to stronger intermolecular forces between molecules of ethanol, less heat is required to vapourize than is required to vapourize 1 mole of  ethanol.

1. A student sees tiny bubbles clinging to the inside of an unopened plastic bottle full of carbonated soft drinks. The student
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

1) The bubbles will grow, and more may appear.

2)Can A will make a louder and stronger fizz than can B.

Explanation:

When you squeeze the sides of the bottle you increase the pressure pushing on the bubble, making it compress into a smaller space. This decrease in volume causes the bubble to increase in density. When the bubble increases in density, the bubble will grow and more bubbles will appear. Therefore, Changing the pressure (by squeezing the bottle) changes the volume of the bubbles. The number of bubbles doesn't change, just their size increases.

Carbonated drinks tend to lose their fizz at higher temperatures because the loss of carbon dioxide in liquids is increased as temperature is raised. This can be explained by the fact that when carbonated liquids are exposed to high temperatures, the solubility of gases in them is decreased. Hence the solubility of CO2 gas in can A at 32°C is less than the solubility of CO2 in can B at 8°C. Thus can A will tend to make a louder fizz more than can B.
