Option: b. False

How did the conquest of the Atlantic islands provide a preview of what was to come in the Caribbean by 1492? Provide at least 3
boyakko [2]
They devised a new economic policy to ensure the profitability of the colonies as Europeans expanded their market reach into the colonial sphere. European perceptions of wealth from the 1500s to the late 1700s were shaped by the philosophy of mercantilism. Mercantilism held that there was only a limited amount of wealth in the world, as measured in gold and silver bullions. Nations had to amass wealth in order to gain power by mining these precious raw materials from their colonial possessions. Mercantilists did not believe in free trade, arguing instead that to create wealth and improve state power, the nation should control trade. Colonies existed to strengthen the colonizing nation in this view.

What moral issues might have been involved in the code talkers decision to fight
natulia [17]
The Navajo Code Talkers faced a serious moral dilemma when deciding to help the United States military during World War II.

The dilemma was whether or not the code talkers should help the US government despite the poor treatment Native American tribes have faced over the course of the last century.

During the 1800's, the federal government and military treated Native American tribes horribly. This included forcing them to move off their homelands and onto reservations, going to Indian Boarding schools, etc. Despite all the poor treatment received by the Native American tribes, they still decided to help the US during World War II.

what effect did the us have after U.S. senate does not ratify the Treaty of Versailles of join the League of Nations
Gnoma [55]
The Treaty as you can imagine received enormous opposition. Henry Cabot Lodge and Alfred Beveridge strongly denounced the treaty, especially Article Ten which called upon the US to support League actions. Wilson campaigned vigorously and gave 37 speeches in 29 cities in a span of only three weeks. He declared that US soldiers should not have died in vain. After a dramatic speech in Colorado Wilson collapsed. His health had been poor for sic months and the strain of the trip was too much. He was rushed back to Washington and a few days later had a massive stroke. For the next year and a half he was incapable of running the government but was protected by his wife and closest advisors.

1. In March 1920 the US Senate finally killed the treaty. The United States did not ratify the Treaty of Versailles and we did not join the League of Nations. Wilson considered this a great failure and it plagued him until his death.
