The formation of a soluble compound and an insoluble compound best describes the product of precipitation reaction.

Answer: Option C

Explanation:

A precipitation reaction, a type of chemical reaction where an insoluble compounds will be obtained from a solution of two soluble compounds after applying an external force. This force can be in the form of heat or shaking etc. So the two soluble components in the reactant solution will react with each other forming new compounds.

One of the new compounds formed should be in insoluble in the solution forming a layer of solid powder at the bottom which is termed as precipitate. So this is termed as precipitate reaction where the product compounds must contain a soluble compound forming the solution and an insoluble compound forming the precipitate in the solution.
