Part A: To find the amount of the discount multiply the regular price by the amount of the discount:

80 x 20% = 80 x 0.20 = 16

The discount is $16

Part B:

20% off means she would be paying 80% of the original price ( 100% - 20% = 80%)

Multiply the regular price by 80%:

120 x 80% = 120 x 0.80 = 96

She will pay $96

20 is how much less than 30? What percent less?
LenKa [72]

Answer:

33.3333% decrease

Step-by-step explanation:

Percent change formula: \frac{(x-y)}{|y|} *100, where x is the new value and y is the starting value.

Plug in values and solve:

\frac{20-30}{30} *100\\\frac{-10}{30} *100\\-0.3333*100\\

-33.3333% change, or a 33.3333% decrease.

A rectangle has an area of 12y^2+21y^512 y 2 +21y 5 12, y, squared, plus, 21, y, start superscript, 5, end superscript.The width
umka21 [38]

Answer:

<em>Width</em>: 3y²

<em>Length</em>: 4 + 7y³

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the rectangle is the length multiplied by the width. For the area given: 12y² + 21y⁵

12y² = 3y²*4

21y⁵ = 3y²*7y³

So, the greatest common monomial factor is 3y², which is the width.

The area is 3y²*(4 + 7y³), the first term is the width, the other must be the length: 4 + 7y³.
