I hope this helps you

A=1/2.b.h

given Area is 24 and base is 8

24=1/2.8.h

24=4.h (divide 4 both of sides)

h=6 (height)

For the triangle use 14 for the height and 9 for the base. use the formula 1/2bh and multiple it by two.
for the circle do 3.14 times 9 squared and divided it by two. formula 3.14r^2.
the answer should be 317.34
hope this helps.

Audrey's bank account is currently at $75 a fee of 12.50 is deducted each month from Audreys she must maintain a balance greater
meriva

Answer:

5 months

Step-by-step explanation:

Current balance = $75

Monthly deductions = $12.50

75 - 12.5h

Where ,

h = number of months for deduction

she must maintain a balance greater than zero dollars

how many months will Audrey's account stay above zero dollars

0 > 75 - 12.5h

0 - 75 > -12.5h

-75 > - 12.5h

h < -75 / 12.5h

h < 6 months

h < 6 months means h must be less than 6 months which is 5 months

Audrey's account will stay above zero dollars for 5 months and will equal zero dollars in the 6th month

Because this is a fourth degree that will be tricky to factor as it is, we will do a u substitution. Let x^2=u. We can now rewrite that polynomial in terms of u: u^2-7u-8=0. Filling into the quadratic formula we have u=\frac{7+/-\sqrt{49-4(1)(-8)}}{2}. Simplifying down u=\frac{7+/-\sqrt{81}}{2} and u=\frac{7+9}{2} or u=\frac{7-9}{2}. That means that u = 8 or u = -1. But don't forget that we let u=x^2, so we have to put x-squared back in for u. That gives us x^2=8 which simplifies down to +/-2\sqrt{2}. That also gives us x^2=-1. When we take the square root of -1, we have to use the fact that -1 = i^2, so we sub that in to get x=+/-i. All in all, your solutions are as follows: 2\sqrt{2},-2\sqrt{2},i,-i which is choice b.
