Explanation:

Just remember the formula of acceleration is

acceration= \frac{v - u}{t}

so...

1st one is done...

Initial velocity (u) = 0m/s (It was in rest)

Final velocity (v) = 60m/s

Time (t) = 10s

acceleration (a) = ?

(Remember to always change the units into SI before solving)

Now,

(use the formula)

a = (60-0/10) m/s^2

= 60/ 10 m/s^2

= 6m/s^2

6.

(from 0m/s) so initial velocity (u) =0m/s

(to 40 m/s) so final velocity (v) = 40m/s

time (t) = 4 seconds

acceleration (a) = ?

Now,

a= ( 40-0/4 ) m/s^2

= 40/4 m/s^2

= 10m/s^2

A cylindrical glass that is 10cm high is partially filled with water. You see the glass in two positions. What is the height of
olga2289 [7]

Answer:

5 cm.

Explanation:

If the glass is located upright, the height of water is about 5 cm because the height of glass is 10 cm and it is partially filled with water and we know that partial means 50 percent of something and here 50 percent of glass is 5 cm. If the glass is slightly bend, so we can't find its right height so the proper height of water is attain if it is placed on flat table and present upright.

A coin is rolling across a table at 0.23 m/s. It rolls off the table and lands 0.15 meters away from the edge of the table. How
timurjin [86]

Answer:

<em>The table is 2.08 m high</em>

Explanation:

<u>Horizontal Motion</u>

When an object is thrown horizontally with a speed vo from a height h, the range or maximum horizontal distance traveled by the object can be calculated as follows:

\displaystyle d=v\cdot\sqrt{\frac  {2h}{g}}

If we know the range d = 0.15 m and the speed v = 0.23 m/s, we can solve the above equation for h:

\displaystyle h=\frac{d^2\cdot g}{2v^2}

\displaystyle h=\frac{0.15^2\cdot 9.8}{2\cdot 0.23^2}

\boxed{h=2.08\ m}

The table is 2.08 m high

explain why when water is poured on a dry class slab it spreads uniformly but it forms spherical droplets on a waxed glass slab
Mars2501 [29]

Answer and Explanation:

The texture of the slabs affects the type of bonding the water molecules has with each other.

The dry glass slab allows the water to form cohesive bonds with each other, making the water stick to itself and not the slab, which makes it flow uniformly, or regularly.

The Waxed glass slab has a different texture that forms an adhesive-type bonding with water, making the water stick to the slab at certain parts/forming the spherical droplets.

I really need help !!
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

The generator will work only if the magnetic field associated with the turns of coil change.

here both magnet and coil are stationary with respect to each other so no electromagnetic induction would take place. so no indiced current will be produced.

the student has to introduce some mechanism either to rotate the coil or the magnet
