What organisms save water by turning carbon dioxide into a special carbon compound before carrying out photosynthesis?
larisa [96]

The correct answer is C4 plants.

A plant that cycles carbon dioxide into four-carbon sugar components to get into the Calvin cycle is known as a C4 plant. These plants are very effective in dry, hot climates and produce ample energy. Various foods one consumes are C4 plants like pineapple, corn, and sugar cane.

In the C4 plants, at the start carbon fixation occurs in the mesophyll cells and the Calvin cycle occurs in the bundle-sheath cells. The PEP carboxylase combines with an incoming molecule of carbon dioxide to the three carbon-molecule PEP, generating a four carbon molecule, that is, oxaloacetate.

Explain complex enzyme
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

All enzymes are mostly protein, but many are only protein. These enzymes are known as simple enzymes. Enzymes that contain other things, “complex enzymes,” are called holoenzymes. A holoenzyme has two parts. The protein part is called the apoenzyme.

The enzyme substrate complex is a temporary molecule formed when an enzyme comes into perfect contact with its substrate. ... The substrate causes a conformational change, or shape change, when the substrate enters the active site. The active site is the area of the enzyme capable of forming weak bonds with the substrate.

Enzymes are protein molecules in cells which work as biological catalysts. Enzymes speed up chemical reactions in the body, but do not get used up in the process, therefore can be used over and over again. Almost all biochemical reactions in living things need enzymes. ... The study of enzymes is called enzymology.

Why are goosebumps not very useful to modern humans?
OleMash [197]

Explanation:

now a days we dont need gooosbumps or the scientifc name cutis anserine.

it was used by our ancestors when we got afraid or for the cold an example of this is if a predator is attacking us the hair on our skins would point straight and we'd look bigger and hopefully it would scare them away, we can still see this in animals... but in present day its completly useless
