x = \frac{5}{7}

using the ' laws of exponents '

• a^{m} × a^{n} = a^{( m + n )}

•  a^{m} ÷ a^{n} = a^{(m - n)}

• (a^{m})^n = a^{mn}

7^{2} × 7^{3} = 7^{5} ÷ 7^{3x} = 7^{5 - 3x}

7^{4x} = 7^{5 - 3x}

equating the exponents since bases on both sides are 7

4x = 5 - 3x

7x = 5 ⇒ x =\frac{5}{7}

Find the domain of the following functions and simplify their expressions.
erica [24]

The domain of the function is  (-∞,∞) and the simplified expression is x²-6x-40 .

A function's domain and range are its constituent parts. A function's  range is its potential output, whereas its domain is the set of all possible input values. Range, Domain, and Function. A is the domain and B is the co-domain if a function f: A B exists that maps every element of A to an element in B. 'b', where (a,b) R, provides the representation of an element 'a' under a relation R. The set of images is the function's range.

The given functions are

f(x)=6x+24

g(x)=x²-16

Now we have to find (g-f)(x) .

(g-f)(x)=x²-16-6x-24

or,(g-f)(x)=x²-6x-40

or,(g-f)(x)=x²-10x+4x-40

or,(g-f)(x)=x(x-10)+4(x-10)

or,(g-f)(x)=(x-10)(x+4)

So the domain of the function (g-f)(x) are the values for which the function exists. we can see that the function exists for all values of x.

Domain in set builder notation={x|x∈R}

Domain in interval notation=(-∞,∞)

Find the Surface Area of the Square Pyramid
hoa [83]

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:   Set up the formula for the surface area of a regular pyramid.

SA = \frac{p*h}{2} + B

where :

  • SA equals the total surface area of the pyramid,
  • p equals the perimeter of the base,
  • h equals the slant height of the pyramid
  • B equals the area of the base.

Step 2:  Plug the perimeter of the base into the formula

you can calculate the perimeter by multiplying the length of one edge by the number of edges.

Step 3: plug the value of the slant height into the formula (it is not the perpendicular height)

Step 4: find the area of the base (depend on the shape of the base)

Hope it will find you well.

What is the lcd of 1/3 and 3/7<br><br>Help rn
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

The least common denominator is 21.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you must find the least common factor of the two:

3: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, <em><u>21</u></em>, 24, 27, 30

7: 7, 14, <em><u>21</u></em>, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70

Second, you must increase the fractions:

\frac{1}{3} × \frac{7}{7} = \frac{7}{21}           \frac{3}{7} × \frac{3}{3} = \frac{9}{21}

On the blue prints for a house, 2 inches represents 3 feet. If the width of a room on
lisabon 2012 [21]

Answer:

The actual width would be 9.75 feet. (I think).

Step-by-step explanation:

If two inches represents three feet, then two inches also represents thirty-six inches. You would then have to set up the proportion \frac{2}{36} = \frac{6.5}{x}. Solving that proportion would get you an answer of 117 inches, equal to 9.75 feet. I hope this helps! :)
