Answer:

1/2 of the figure is shared

Step-by-step explanation:

From the attachment, 4 out of the 8 squares are shaded

The center square which makes it the 9th is subdivided into 9 squares again.

The pattern of division continues indefinitely.

In every subdivision, 4 squares are shaded leaving the other 4 squares white while the 9th(center square) forms another subdivision.

Therefore, it can be concluded that 1/2 of the figure is shaded.

10 2/6 - 7 5/6 i know its prob easy but i need help
miv72 [106K]

Answer: 2 1/3

Explanation:

10 2/6 - 7 5/6

You can make both a fraction by multiplying the denominator by the whole number, and then adding the numerator to that number, and keeping the denominator the same. So, 10*6 = 60 and 60 + 2 = 62 and you keep the denominator as 6, which would make 62/6

7*6 = 42 and 42 + 5 = 47 so 7 5/6 becomes 47/6

10 2/6 is equivalent to 62/6

7 5/6 is equivalent to 47/6

This just makes it easier to look at.

Now you just work through the equation.

62/6 - 47/6 = 15/6

15/6 = 2 3/6 = 2 1/3

Solve the system of linear equations.
icang [17]

Answer: The set does not have a solution

Step-by-step explanation:

Adding Equations 1 & 3 we get 5x = 7. This gives x = 7/5

Putting this value of x in eq. 2 we get

-2y + 2z = -1-(7/5) or

2y - 2z = 12/5  or  5y - 5z = 6

Multiplying eq. 1 by 2  we get

4x + 2y - 2z = 6

adding this with eq. 2 we get 5x = 5 or x = 1

As the common solution for x from equations 1&3 does not satisfy eq. 1&2 it comes out that the three equations do not have a common solution.

Same can be verified by using different sets of two equations also.

Is (-3,11) a solution to the system of equation shown below.
natita [175]
No, when you substitute it into the first equation for x and y it does not equal 36 this it's not a solution

(-3)-(3)(11)=36
-3-33=36
-36 =/ 36
