The answer is C) the density of the rock

Density of rock is the dependent variable, because it depends on the temperature. The temperature can’t be the dependent variable because ,the density of a rock does not have magical powers that can change temperature of a room. However changing the temperature of the room ,will change the density of the rock. Hope this helps !

A soccer player kicks a soccer ball initially at rest setting it in motion at a velocity of 30 m/s. If the ball has a mass of 0.
Alchen [17]

Answer:

 F= 600 N

Explanation:

Given that

Initial velocity ,u= 0 m/s

Final velocity ,v= 30 m/s

mass ,m = 0.5 kg

time ,t= 0.025 s

The change in the linear momentum is given as

ΔP= m (v - u)

ΔP= 0.5 ( 30 - 0 ) kg.m/s

ΔP= 15 kg.m/s

We know that from second law of Newtons

F=\dfrac{dP}{dt}

F=\dfrac{\Delta P}{t}

Now by putting the values

F=\dfrac{15}{0.025}\ N

F= 600 N

The first confirmed detections of extrasolar planets occurred in ____________. The first confirmed detections of extrasolar plan
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

1992 (Early 1990s)

Explanation:

First of all, i would like to define an extrasolar planet as a planet that orbits a start that is not our own.

The first confirmed detections of extrasolar planets occured in the early 1990s (specifically 1992, some say 1995). The name of the first extrasolar planet is widely believed to be called Dimidium or 51 Pegasi b.

Extrasolar were searched by monitoring stars for slight dimming that might occur as unseen planets pass in front of them.

A total charge of 9.0 mC passes through a cross-sectional area of a nichrome wire in 3.6s. The number of electrons passing throu
Setler79 [48]
<h2>Given :</h2>

  • total charge = 9.0 mC = 0.009 C

Each electron has a charge of :

1.6 \times 10 {}^{ - 19} \:  C

For producing 1 Cuolomb charge we need :

  • \mathrm{\dfrac{1}{1.6 \times 10 {}^{ - 19} } }

  • \dfrac{10 {}^{19} }{1.6}

  • \dfrac{10\times 10 {}^{19} }{16}

  • \dfrac{100 \times 10 {}^{18} }{16}

  • \mathrm{6.24 \times 10 {}^{18}  \:  \: electrons}

Now, for producing 0.009 C of charge, the number of electrons required is :

  • 0.009 \times 6.24 \times  {10}^{18}

  • 0.05616 \times 10 {}^{18}

  • \mathrm{5.616 \times 10 {}^{16}  \:  \: electons}

_____________________________

So, Number of electrons passing through the cross section in 3.6 seconds is :

\mathrm{5.616 \times 10 {}^{16} \:  \: electrons}

Number of electrons passing through it in 1 Second is :

  • \dfrac{5.616 \times  {10}^{16} }{3.6}

  • \mathrm{1.56 \times 10 {}^{16}  \:  \: electrons}

Now, in 10 seconds the number of electrons passing through it is :

  • 10 \times  \mathrm{1.56 \times 10 {}^{16}  \:  \: }

  • \mathrm{1.56 \times 10 {}^{17}  \:  \: electrons}

Find the frequency of a wave with a period of 0.5 seconds
strojnjashka [21]

Frequency of the wave is 2 per second

Explanation:

  • Frequency is the number of times waves pass at a particular point of time. Here, time period = 0.5 s
  • Frequency is given by the formula

f = 1/T, where f is the frequency and T is the time period

⇒ f = 1/0.5 = 2 per second
