The discovery of the Cell Theory has greatly impacted modern science. It proves that every living thing on Earth is made up of one or more cells. It impacted modern science because now scientists can find out more about organisms that they couldn't have if they didn't know about cells. Because of this, scientists don't have to worry about lack of understanding the organisms. In fact, there are two different types of organisms, prokaryotic and eukaryotic. Prokaryotic organisms are those which only contain a singular cell. For instance, bacteria are prokaryotic. Eukaryotic organisms contain more than one cell, such as plant and animal cells. These have a membrane surrounding their nucleus as well as one surrounding the cell itself. In conclusion, the cell theory has helped scientists successfully study cells and their functions using microscopes and other advanced technology.

This can generate a HUGE essay if you wanted, so I'll break it down to some points, then give you some references.

Cell theory states cells can only come from cells. This eliminates the idea of life deriving from non life. You can look up the miller-urey experiment for info on that if interested.

Cells make up all living things. It probably helped taxonomists in classifying possible organisms. You can't call something living if it isn't made up of cells. Then you have the whole virus debate...

Cells also contain genetic material, part of life's building blocks. It enabled scientists to focus on cells when studying genetics and inheritance.

Groups of cells are what make other structures, like tissues and muscles and organs. Learning about the smallest unit gave a bigger understanding to anatomy and physiology.

The statement that explains why the student’s idea is incorrect Conduction cannot occur between two different phases of matter. The answer is letter A.

The elements in Groups 1 AU) and 7A(17) are all quite reactive. What is a major difference between them?
Yuliya22 [10]

Explanation:

Elements of group 1A are known as alkali metals. Elements of this group are lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium, and francium.

All these elements are metals and every element of this group has 1 valence electron. So, in order to attain stability they will readily lose their valence electron.

Hence, elements of group 1A are very reactive.

On the other hand, elements of group 7A are also known as halogen group. Elements of this group are fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine.

All these elements are non-metals and every element of this group has 7 valence electrons. So, in order to completely fill their octet these elements gain 1 electron from a donor atom.

Therefore, these elements are alo reactive in nature.

But the major difference between elements of group 1A and group 7A is that elements of group 1A are metals but elements of group 7A are non-metals.
