Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is a federally owned corporation program aimed at increasing electricity generation, flood control, fertilizer production, and economic development to the Tennessee Valley but has evolved primarily into electricity generation. It provides electricity to about ten million people through nuclear, coal-fired, natural gas-fired, hydroelectric, and renewable generation.
