g The first step in the process is to calibrate the grating, so we know the grating spacing (the distance between the openings i

n the grating). Sodium has two yellow lines that are very close together in wavelength at 590 nm. When light from a sodium source is passed through a particular diffraction grating, the two yellow lines overlap, looking like one line at an angle of 34.0 degrees in the first-order spectrum. What is the grating spacing

Answer:

The grating spacing is  d = 1055nm

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The wavelength is  \lambda = 590 nm = 590 *10^{-9}m

    The angle is \theta = 34^0

    The  order of the spectrum is  n = 1

Generally in grating grating the condition for maxima   to occur is

             d sin \theta  = n \lambda

where d is the grating spacing

     making d the subject of the formula

                  d = \frac{\lambda }{sin \theta }

        Substituting values

                  d = \frac{590 * 10^{-9}}{sin (34)}

                     d = 1055nm

valina [46]

Answer:

The periodic table of elements puts all the known elements into groups with similar properties. This makes it an important tool for chemists, nanotechnologists, and other scientists. If you get to understand the periodic table and learn to use it, you'll be able to predict how chemicals will behave.

<h2>ANSWER:</h2>

Yes, in this group both events "Oddems Family" and "Thirteenth Night" are mutually exclusive.

<h3>Explanation:</h3>

Mutually exclusive is an statistical term which means the probability of occurrence of two separate event at the same time is zero. It means two events can not be occurred simultaneously.

For example, if we roll the deck ant the probability of coming 1 and 6 at the same time is zero and both events do not depends upon each others occurrence.

Hence only one drama can run in theater at one time. So they are mutually exclusive events.
