Hey there!

It is a single- displacement reaction , so  by  balancing  the above equation:

Answer:

Cl₂(g) + 2NaBr(aq) = 2NaCl (aq) + Br₂(g)

Explanation:

Cl₂(g) + NaBr(aq) = NaCl (aq) + Br₂(g)

Here the chlorine replaces bromine from sodium bromide to form sodium chloride. Here aq stands for the aqueous phase and g stands for the gas phase.

Balanced chemical equation:

Cl₂(g) + 2NaBr(aq) = 2NaCl (aq) + Br₂(g)

In the unbalanced there are two Cl atoms on the reactant side and one Cl atom on the product so to balance the equation we place a two before NaCl on the product side. Similarly, in the unbalanced there are two Br atoms on the reactant side and one Cl atom on the product so to balance the equation we place a two before NaCl on the product side.

A 600.0 mL sample of krypton is held at standard conditions. What volume does the gas occupy when the pressure is tripled and th
solong [7]

<u>Answer:</u> The volume when the pressure and temperature has changed is 400 mL

<u>Explanation:</u>

To calculate the volume when temperature and pressure has changed, we use the equation given by combined gas law.

The equation follows:

\frac{P_1V_1}{T_1}=\frac{P_2V_2}{T_2}

where,

P_1,V_1\text{ and }T_1 are the initial pressure, volume and temperature of the gas

P_2,V_2\text{ and }T_2 are the final pressure, volume and temperature of the gas

We are given:

P_1=P_1\\V_1=600.00mL\\T_1=T_1\\P_2=3P_1\\V_2=?\\T_2=2T_1

Putting values in above equation, we get:

\frac{P_1\times 600mL}{T_1}=\frac{3P_1\times V_2}{2T_1}\\\\V_2=\frac{600\times P_1\times 2T_1}{T_1\times 3P_1}=400mL

Hence, the volume when the pressure and temperature has changed is 400 mL

What is the molecular formula of a compound that molecular mass of 54 g/mol and an empirical formula of C₂H₃? C₂H₃, C₄H₆, C₆H₉,
Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

Molecular formula = C₄H₆

Explanation:

Given data:

Molecular mass of compound = 54 g/mol

Empirical formula = C₂H₃

Molecular formula = ?

Solution:

Molecular formula:

Molecular formula = n (empirical formula)

n = molar mass of compound / empirical formula mass

Empirical formula mass = 12×2 + 3×1 = 27 g/mol

n = 54 / 27

n = 2

Molecular formula = n (empirical formula)

Molecular  formula = 2(C₂H₃)

Molecular formula = C₄H₆

Iron is an element why?
Sloan [31]
Iron is described as an element because it is a pure substance. A pure substance is where the atoms are similar and cannot be divided into smaller.
