Area of a circle is calculated by this expression....

A = πR²

What this says is Area is equal to the radius squared times pi (3.14 for all intensive purposes.)

So, we need to find A (area.)

We know the diameter (d) is twice the radius, and we know that the diameter is 10.

10/2 = 5.

The radius is 5.

A = π5²

5² = 5 x 5 = 25

A = π25

3.14 (π) * 25 = 78.5

The area of the circle with the diameter of 10 is 78.5 roughly. This is not exact but for what you are doing it will suffice.

What is the length of QR?
Elena L [17]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the triangle is right with hypotenuse QR

Use Pythagoras' identity to solve for QR

The square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides, that is

QR² = 8² + (8\sqrt{3} )²

       = 64 + 192

       = 256 ( take the square root of both sides )

QR = \sqrt{256} = 16

The radius of a circle is (7x+3)cm. Write an expression to represent the area of the circle in simplified form
zepelin [54]

Answer:

A = π(7x + 3)² cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

A = πr² is the appropriate equation.  If r = 7x + 3 cm, then the area of this particular circle is:

A = π(7x + 3)² cm²
