How many resonance structures does aniline have after the first step of electrophilic aromatic substitution?

Answer:

Electrophilic aromatic substitution involves a process in an atom that is attached to an aromatic system is replaced by a electrophile. Electrophile is an electron pair acceptor. In the first step of electrophilic aromatic substitution of aniline, aniline has 3 resonance structures.

Explanation:

Aniline undergo a two step electrophilic aromatic substitution. The first step yields both ortho and para groups while the last yield a meta group.

In the first step, the amino group of aniline are strong activating group and ortho/para directing by resonance. This amino groups donates their unshared electrons to the pi-system creating a negative charge on the ortho and para positions. These positions are most reactive towards an electron-poor electrophile.

In the second step, the electrophilic aromatic substitution on aniline proceeds quite slowly to give an unexpected high yield of meta product.

1. How is a whistling teapot like a volcano?
oksano4ka [1.4K]
Because of the build up of pressure. There is so much steam coming from such a compressed point, it’s coming out in force.

Now think of that same spot being closed, it only has one place to go but it can’t leave, so that pressure will build and build and then BOOM, it explodes.

In short, the answer is the pressure being released from a small point, and how that energy is released.

The length of the track itself is 500m. The vehicles (each of mass 15kg) are dragged
gogolik [260]

Answer:

W = 100000 J = 100 KJ

Explanation:

Here we will use the most basic and general formula of work, which is as follows:

W = Fd

where,

W = Work Done = ?

F = Force Required = 200 N

d = Length of Track = 500 m

Therefore,

W = (200\ N)(500\ m)\\

W = 100000 J = 100 KJ

What were Rosalind Franklin, James Watson, and Francis Crick’s discovery, and what did it lead to? In three to five sentences, e
Vanyuwa [196]

Rosalind Franklin, James Watson, and Francis Crick’s discovered the DNA's Double Helix.

What is DNA?

DNA is an abbreviation for deoxyribonucleic acid and it can be defined as the molecules that are found within cells, and they are saddled with the responsibility of storing genetic information in living organisms.

In 1953, James Watson and Francis Crick's used other scientists' work to create a model of DNA in that they used Rosalind Franklin's photo to help them determine that deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was a double helix.

Furthermore, the discovery of DNA's Double Helix by Rosalind Franklin, James Watson, and Francis Crick led to modern molecular biology, which has helped many scientists and researcher to understand how genes control the chemical processes in the body of a living organism.
