In both animals and plants, cells produce new cells by mitosis - but they split differently. A cleavage farrow forms in the animal cell and it splits. For the plant cell, a cell plate forms and then the cell splits.
As epithelial makes the outer covering of all the organs and skin is also made of epithelial...so to be sure that it does not get depleted or destroyed due to friction and other external cause ...it should be highly generative !
