well, we know that there are 1.609 kilometers in 1 mile, so 58 kilometers will be 58 ÷ 1.609  ≈ 36.05 miles.

we know the car is doing 36.05 miles in 1 hour, how long will it be for 32 miles?

\bf \begin{array}{ccll} miles&hours\\ \cline{1-2} 36.05&1\\ 32&x \end{array}\implies \cfrac{36.05}{32}=\cfrac{1}{x}\implies 36.05x=32 \\\\\\ x=\cfrac{32}{36.05}\implies x\approx 0.8877\qquad \leftarrow \textit{53 minutes and about 16 seconds}

Find the volume of the shaded figure by subtracting the smaller volume from the larger
alekssr [168]

Answer:

a. 9a^3 - 9ab^2

b. 9a(a^2 - b^2)

Step-by-step explanation:

a.

Volume = l*w*h

Volume_{smaller} = l*w*h

Where, l = 9a, w = b, h = b

Volume_{smaller} = 9a*b*b = 9ab^2

Volume_{larger} = l*w*h

Where, l = 9a, w = a, h = a

Volume_{smaller} = 9a*a*a = 9a^3

Volume of the shaded figure = 9a^3 - 9ab^2

b. 9a^3 - 9ab^2 expressed in factored form:

Look for the term that is common to 9a³ and 9ab², then take outside the parenthesis.

9a^3 - 9ab^2 = 9a(a^2 - b^2)

timurjin [86]
X = approximately 633

Steps:
lnx + ln3x = 14

ln3x^2 = 14 : Use the log property of addition which is to multiply same log                           together so you multiply x and 3x because they have log in                                common

  (ln3x^2) =  (14)  : take base of e on both sides to get rid of the log
e                e

3x^2 = e^14  : e cancels out log on the left side and the right side is e^14

x^2 = e^14 / 3 : divide both sides by 3

√x^2 = <span>√(e^14 / 3) : take square root on both sides to get rid of the square 2                                  on x
</span>
x = √(e^14) / <span>√3 : square root cancels out square 2 leaving x by itself

x = e^7 / </span>√3 : simplify the √(e^14) so 14 (e^14) divide by 2 (square root) = 7<span>

x = </span>633.141449221 : solve
