The Meaning of Dilation is , the geometrical shape which is dilated, that is Preimage either gets enlarged or  shrank totally depends on scale factor.The two preimage and Image are always similar, either the dilation factor is greater han 1, or less than , 1 means,(0<Dilation factor<1).
