{6}^{2} + (x)^{2} = {12}^{2}
36 + x = 144
144-36= 108
square root of 108 is, around 10.4

Roll a dice if the dice shows 6 tick the box marked yes.
maksim [4K]
That is a strangely worded question... but I think you're asking how many people said they got a 6 but did not.

So, a dice that has 6 sides has a 1/6 chance of Landing on a 6. so 1/6 of 360 should be that 60 people got a 6. Therefore 119-60 = 59.

The proportion is 59/360 that lied

When a value is given in scientific notation, how can you tell if the number is very large or very small? Explain.
Rzqust [24]
When working with very large or very small numbers, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers often use scientific notation to express those quantities. Scientific notation uses exponential notation. When a number is written in scientific notation, the exponent tells you if the term is a large or a small number. A positive exponent indicates a large number and a negative exponent indicates a small number that is between 0 and 1.

Hope this helped!

A soccer ball is kicked from the ground at an upwards velocity of 90 feet per second. The equation h(t)=-16t^(2)+90t gives the h
garri49 [273]

Answer: 2.81 s

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Ball is kicked upward with velocity u=90\ ft/s

Height of the ball is given by the function h(t)=-16t^2+90t

Derivative of a function gives the maxima or minima at certain point

\Rightarrow \dfrac{dh}{dt}=-32t+90\\\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{dh}{dt}=0\\\\\Rightarrow -32t+90=0\\\\\Rightarrow t=\dfrac{90}{32}\\\\\Rightarrow t=2.81\ s

Thus, it takes ball 2.81 s to reach the top.

Answer:

C is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: System of linear inequality

y

y\geq 2x+3

First we will draw the graph of system of equation and then see the correct option.

Equation 1: y

We will make the table.

 x :  -2    0     2

 y :   1     0    -1

Test Point: (0,4)

0<-2 ( False )

Shaded area away from (0,4)

Equation 2:y\geq 2x+3

We will make the table.

 x :  -2    0     2

 y :  -1     3    7

Test Point: (0,4)

4≥3 ( True )

Shaded area towards (0,4)

Please see attachment for graph.

Hence, C is common shaded area (region)
