Answer:

The gravitation potential energy of an object will be zero when it will be at ground.

Explanation:

The energy of an object due to its position is known as gravitational potential energy. Mathematically, it can be written as:

                                        P.E = mgh          ………… (i)

Equation (i) shows that P.E depends upon weight and height of the object above the ground. If h = 0 then,

                                         P.E = mg(0)

                                           P.E = 0

Hence, when the object will be at ground, its potential energy will be zero.

A car is traveling at a steady 73 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. A police motorcycle takes off at the instant the car passes it, accele
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

29 m

Explanation:

given,

speed of the car = 73 Km/hr

                           = 73 x 0.278 m/s  = 20.3 m/s

Time elapses before the motorcycle is moving as fast as the car

using equation of motion

v = u + at

initial speed = 0 m/s

20.3= 0 + 7 x t

t = 2.9 s

b) distance traveled by the car in that time

  d = s x t

  d = 20.3 x 2.9 = 58.87 m

 distance traveled by the police

s = ut + \dfrac{1}{2} a t^2

s = 0 + \dfrac{1}{2}\times 7\times 2.9^2

s = 29.435 m

distance car is ahead = 58.57 - 29.44 = 29.13

                                    = 29 m

Why is it that when riding in a car, you don't feel like you're moving?
UkoKoshka [18]

This may shock you:

We NEVER feel speed, velocity, or motion, as long as it's constant.

We only feel CHANGES in speed, velocity, or motion.

That means speeding up, slowing down, or changing direction.

As long as we're moving in a straight line at a constant speed, we don't feel anything.

Bella makes the 2.5m distance to her food bowl in 9.1 seconds. What is her average velocity?
e-lub [12.9K]
  • Distance=2.5m
  • Time=9.1s

Average Velocity=Total Distance/Total Time

\\ \sf\longmapsto \dfrac{2.5}{9.1}

\\ \sf\longmapsto 0.3m/s
