What do gamete cells contribute to offspring?
aliya0001 [1]
Gamete cells contribute to offspring because through meiosis, haploid cells with half of the chromosomes are created. They increase genetic variation by combining with the cell from the other organism. This contributes to offspring because they get good traits from both parents rather than being genetically identical to just one.

Hope that helped :-)

Why is nectar important for insects?
son4ous [18]

Answer:

Nectar is important for insects because.. Nectar is an ecologically important item, the sugar source for honey. It is also useful in agriculture and horticulture because the adult stages of some predatory insects feed on nectar. For example, the social wasp species Apoica flavissima relies on nectar as a primary food source. In turn, these wasps then hunt agricultural pest insects as food for their young.
