Se did not got an A, as you said she needs at least 90% right and she only got 80% right. She had to score at least 18 of the questions correct.

16/20=80/100

16*5=80
18*5=90

Brianna shouldn't recieve an A because she didnt get enough question correct. In order to get 90% she had to answer 18 questions correctly. MY WORK 20 = 100% Now that you know this you need to convert 100% to a number that can be multipled to get 90 100/10 = 10 Do the same thing you did to 100 to 20 20/10=2 Now you multiply 10% x 9 to get 90% Again do the same to 2 2 x 9= 18 18 = 90% She need 18 questions correct

Jade buys a blouse and a skirt for 3/6 of their original price. Jade pays a total of $31 for the two items. If the original pric
Damm [24]

Answer:

3/4 times 18= 13.5

31.5-13.5=18

It cost 18 dollars for the skirt with a discount.

It cost 13.5 for the blouse as opposed to the original price of 18 dollars.

18(skirt)+13.5(blouse)=31.5

If you set up a proportion to find the original price of the skirt you will get the answer.

18/x=75/100

75x=18 times 100

75x=1800

75x/75=1800/75

x=24

The original price of the skirt is 24 dollars.

U is the midpoint of TV. If TU = 6x and TV = 11x + 8, what is TV?
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

96

Step-by-step explanation:

U is the midpoint of TV, so mTU is half of mTV or mTV = 2 * mTU, so

mTV = 2 * mTU

11x + 8 = 2 (6x)

11x + 8 = 12x

8 = x

mTV = 11x + 8 = 11(8) + 8 = 88 + 8 = 96

A school drama department sells 40 more student tickets than adult tickets. Charging $8 for adult tickets and $6 for student tic
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

Adults = x

Students = y = x + 40. 40 more student than adult

Adult = $8, Student = $6

Total for Adults = 8*x = 8x

Total for students = 6*y = 6y

Total = $1920

8x + 6y = 1920

Hence system of equations are:

y = x + 40

8x + 6y = 1920
