We can write an equation to resemble the problem.

1160 = 170 + 50x

x equals the number of boxes he is carrying.

Solve for x.

1160 = 170 + 50x

990 = 50x

19.8 = x

We can't round up because that will be to much weight. So, we are going to round down.

19.8 -> 19

Therefore, the answer is 19.

Best of Luck!

Answer: 19 boxes

Step-by-step explanation: Subtract the delivery person to get 990 lbs. then divide by 50 to get 19.8, but since we can't have 0.8 of a box and 20 boxes we go over, 19 boxes is the correct answer.

Why could the mean of the data set below be misleading? ages of teachers: 29, 38, 39, 26, 29, 29, 39, 77, 38, 29
daser333 [38]
The mean of the problem is 37.3. All you need to do is add all the numbers together and then divide them by the amount of numbers. So I added them all and divided by 10.
