Help.. Im confused.. A student is preparing a wooden car for a toy-car derby. Position 1 on the racetrack profile shows the star

ting position for the car. When a signal is given, the flat part of the ramp at position 1 tips up, and the car travels down the track. When it gets to it's position 4, the car collides with a wooden block, and pushes it along the track. Question: What will happen when the car hits the wooden block? A: The energy of the car will increase, and the energy of the block will decrease B: The energy of the car will be the same as the energy of the block C: The energy of both the car and the block will increase. D: The energy of the car will decrease, and the energy of the block will increase. Please help me.

Answer:

The correct option is D) The energy of the car will decrease, and the energy of the block will increase.

Explanation:

As we know energy cannot be created or destroyed but it can change from one form to another. When the wooden car will collide with the wooden block, some of the kinetic energy with which the car was moving will be passed to the wooden block. As a result, the wooden block will also get pushed along the track. Meanwhile, as the wooden car had transferred some of its energy, its energy level will decrease and it will move slower than before pushing the wooden block along with it.

svp [43]

Answer:

B. Meteorites struck the region that Mexico now occupies

Explanation:

The meteorite or comet that struck in the area where Mexico is located in the present is not part of the consequences of the extinctions event. The reason why it is not part of the consequences is that it is the factor that caused the consequences, so it can not be both the thing that caused something and also the consequence of it. This meteorite or comet managed to create such a huge explosion, that it managed to wipe out pretty much all large and medium sized land dwelling animals. And that was not caused only by the explosion itself, but also because it drastically changed the climate with the huge amounts of ashes and dust released into the atmosphere, as well as the triggering of the volcanoes around the world. This mass extinction though opened up the gates for the evolution of the mammals which soon became the dominant animals on the planet.

Which of the following is not a product of cellular respiration?
Anastaziya [24]

Answer:

The only molecule in the group that is not a product of cellular respiration is C₆H₁₂O₆ (option c).

Explanation:

C₆H₁₂O₆ is the glucose molecule, which is an energetic substrate and not a product of cellular respiration.

Cellular respiration is the process by which, through the oxidation of glucose and in the presence of oxygen, energy is obtained in the form of ATP. The reaction that summarizes this process is:

                     C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂ → 6CO₂ + 6H₂O + Energy (ATP)↑

As can be seen in the diagram, while glucose and oxygen are substrates of the reaction, the resulting products are CO₂, H₂O and energy.
