Answer:

c

Step-by-step explanation:

you would choose c because those people are leaving at the end of the day which means they are not going to practice for anything. All of the others wouldnt be because the girls soccer team like soccer, the band is a concentrated group and the people at the stadium obviously like football the most so c would have the largest variety of people.

What number must be added to both sides of the equation to complete the square ?
77julia77 [94]
First consider (x+c)^2 where c is just a random constant. if we expand this by foil (which is distributive property twice), we get x^2 + 2cx+ c^2. we want to find c^2 and to do that, we can first find c. we can find c by looking at the 2cx term. this term should match with 12x, so therefore 2c = 12 so c = 6. this also implies that c^2 = 36.
note that for this problem i was working backwards which is a very powerful problem solving tool: start with what you want to attain, and then see how you can go from where you are now to get to your destination.

for all values of x , a function f is defined by f(x)=x^2+7x+12 if f(a)=2, what could be the value of a?
Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer:

a = -2 or a = -5

Step-by-step explanation:

We want f(a) = a^2 + 7a + 12 = 2. We can subtract 2 from both sides of this equation to get a^2+7a+10=0. We can factor this to get that (a+2)(a+5)=0. When the product of two numbers is equal to zero, one of the numbers must be equal to zero. This means that either a + 2 = 0, in which case a = -2, or a + 5 = 0, in which case a = -5.

BLUEPRINTS Abby’s family is building a new house. On the blueprints of the house, Abby’s bedroom measures
mariarad [96]

Answer:

A scale drawing or floor plan is a representation of an actual object or space drawn in two-dimensions. For a floor plan, you can imagine that you are directly above the building looking down. The lines represent the walls of the building, and the space in between the lines represents the floor.

In order to find the actual dimensions from a floor plan, you can set up and solve a proportion. The scale given in the drawing is the first ratio. The unknown length and the scale length is the second ratio.

Let’s look at an example.

The floor plan below shows several classrooms at Craig’s school. The length of Classroom 2 in the floor plan is 2 inches. What is the actual length, in feet, of Classroom 2?

First, set up a proportion. The scale in the drawing says that

12′′=3′

, therefore the proportion is:

0.5 inches3 feet

Next, write the second ratio. You know the scale length is 2 inches. The unknown length is

x

. Make sure that the second ratio follows the form of the first ratio: inches over feet.

0.5 inches3 feet=2 inchesx feetThen, cross-multiply.

0.530.5x0.5x===2x2×36Then, divide both sides by 0.5 to solve for

x

.

0.5x0.5x0.5x===660.512The answer is 12.

The actual length of the classroom is 12 feet.
