Answer:

(i) Instantaneous velocity at t = 1 will be :-

 v(t=1) = 44 m/s

(ii) Instantaneous acceleration at t = 1 will be :-

 a(t=1) = 72 m/s²

Explanation:

(i) Instantaneous velocity is  defined as the time- derivative of displacement,i.e,

v =     .

or,    v =

or,     v = 20 + 24t³

Hence, instantaneous velocity at t = 1 will be

 v(t=1) = 20 + 24(1)³

 or,   v(t=1) = 20 + 24

 or,     v(t=1) = 44 m/s

(ii) Instantaneous acceleration is  defined as the time- derivative of velocity,i.e,

a =     .

or,    v =

or,     v =  72t²

Hence, instantaneous acceleration at t = 1 will be

 a(t=1) =  72(1)²

 or,    a (t=1) = 72 m/s².

Match the environmental remedlation method to Its description.
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

1. Soil vapor extraction  - 3

2. Air sparging  - 1

3. bioventing  - 4

4. Natural attenuation -2

Explanation:

Soil vapor extraction - Soil vapor extraction (SVE) is the method in which  perforated pipes are used into the soil and air is injected through the pipes. Contamination in soil then removed through perforation in pipes and disposed into an off-gas treatment unit.

Air sparging  - In air sparging process air is injected in bubble form that remediates groundwater by volatilizing contaminants and enhancing biodegradation.

Bioventing  - In bioinventing process low air flow rates are used that provide enough oxygen to sustain microbial activity in the soil and remove other contamination form the soil.

Natural attenuation - Natural attenuation is a natural process of  environmental remediation which reduce the toxicity, mass, or concentration of contaminants in soil without human intervention.

A motorcycle has a mass of 2.50×10^2. A constant force is exerted on it for 60.0s. The motorcycles initial velocity is 6.00 m/s

The change in momentum is 5500 kg m/s

Explanation:

The change in momentum of an object is given by

\Delta p = m(v-u)

where

m is the mass of the object

v is the final velocity

u is the initial velocity

In this problem, we have:

m=2.50\cdot 10^2 kg (mass of the motorcycle)

v=28.0 m/s (final velocity)

u=6.0 m/s (initial velocity)

Therefore, the change in momentum is

\Delta p=(2.50\cdot 10^2)(28.0-6.0)=5500 kg m/s

A trombone has a variable length. When a musician blows into the mouthpiece and causes air in the tube of the horn to vibrate, t
Lilit [14]

Answer:

The frequency increases.

Explanation:

When the Musician draws the slide in the length of the horn gets shorter, which causes a decrease in the wavelength. A decrease in the wave length results in an increase in frequency.

Note:

The diameter of the horn has an effect on frequency, so a wider horn is effectively a long horn - open end correction ( distance between the the antinode and the open end of a pipe).

Frequency also depends on how hard the musician blows the trombone. The musician can change the frequency with the lip pressure being applied.
