The image of circle A is missing, so i have attached it;

Answer:

x = 17

Step-by-step explanation:

In Δs EAB and EAD

We are told that;

∠BAE ≅ ∠DAE

AB = AD = AE

Now,

The Two triangles have two corresponding equal sides and the angles between them are equal, thus, we can say that the two triangles are congruent by SAS (Side Angle Side) postulate of congruence

By using the result of congruence, we can say that;

EB ≅ ED

We are given that;

EB = 3x - 24 and ED = x + 10

Thus,

3x - 24 = x + 10

∴ 3 x - 24 = x + 10

Add 24 to both sides to give;

3x = x + 34

Subtract x from both sides to give;

2x = 34

Divide both sides by 2 to give;

x = 17

Determine the product of each set of polynomials (2x-3)(4x+5)
Alla [95]
<span>(2x-3)(4x+5)

We must use distributive property to find the product.

First multiply 2x and 4x, then 2x and 5.

Second multiply -3 and 4x, then -3 and 5.

Finally combine like terms.

8x^2 + 10x - 12x -15 = 8x^2 - 2x - 15 is the answer

Don't forget when multiply exponents, you're adding them. For example 2x times 4x equals 8x^2. I'm adding x^1 and x^1 which equals x^2

pishuonlain [190]

Answer:the truck load of fruit weigh 440 pounces

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total weight of the truck load of fruit weigh x pounds.

The truck carries apples, grapes, and blackberries in the ratio of 4:3:4

The total ratio is the sum of the proportions of apples, grapes, and blackberries. It becomes 4+3+4 = 11

if the apples weigh 160 pounds, it means that

4/11 × x = 160

4x/11 = 160

4x = 160×11 = 1760

x = 1760/4

x = 440

Find the vertex of the function h(x) = x2 – 4x – 21
lakkis [162]

Answer: (2, -25)

Step-by-step explanation:

The x coordinate of the vertex is x=-\frac{-4}{2(1)}=2.

When x=2, h(2)=2^2 - 4(2)-21=-25.

So, the vertex is (2, -25).
